Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Ok so I am going to give you the history and then I need some input. My mom was only 17 when I was born, I was 3 months premie and only weighed in at 3 pounds. I was in the hospital for months and when I came home from the hospital my grandma is the one who picked me up and took me home with her. I lived with My Grandma, Pappa and great grandpa. I lived with them for most of my life. Well when I got married 12 years ago I kind of moved away and lost contact with my Grandma. I have only seen her about 5 times in the past 10 years. Anyways resently she became frail and is having a hard time taking care of herself. Well that was a wake up call for me. Anyways I have been talking to her via phone for awhile now. Anyways Will and I have been talking and we both think it might be a good idea for me to move home and take care of grandma while he is in Iraq. We will be buying a house and I will move me and the kids back to Texas. He will then decide if he wants to re-enlist or get out. If he gets out we will already be set up in Texas and that would be a plus, if he re-enlists we could rent the house out until we retire...which would only be 7 years after he returns from Iraq. Anyways I am torn, I have nothing holding me here except my hubby and he'll be gone soon for a LONG time. I really want my kids to know my grandma and I really want to help take care of her. So what do you all think? |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I really think that being there for and with your family is going to make you feel better. You need them as much as they need you. And what better support to have around you then your family? I think your head and heart is in the right place by wanting to carry on that circle. I wouldnt give up the last few years I had with my grandma for anything. Even though most of the time she didnt remember who I was...I did! I hope that you get everyhting straightened out and make the right decision for you and your grandma. You are definately in my thoughts!! Remember, I am only a message away. BTW, love the signature pics...you look fantastic!!! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Go for it Becka -- you'll have your family around to support and support you while your husband is gone. He'll feel better knowing you have that support network. That will make his job a lot easier. You will be doing positive things for your own families future and you have plenty of time to figure out what the next steps are if he decides to re-enlist. Your grandma was there when you needed her; now you have the chance to be there when she needs you. I think its a wonderful opportunity for you and your children! I say go for it! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Becka it sounds as if you already have made a decision and just want that little nudg to know it's the right one. God works in mysterious ways...perhaps he sees that you and your children need your grandma as much as she needs you. I know you will make the right decision for you and therefore your children, husband and grandma. Good luck and pray on it. Tina PS Great pics! You look terrific

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I say go for it. I think you would be miserable alone while your husband is away and this is HARD to do alone. Plus your grandma needs you. Go and be with her. Set up shop in Tx near family and then decide long term later. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I think moving to take care of your grandma is a great ideal. Just wanted to warn you, having been there and done that, that it is an adjustment to be close to family when you aren't use to it. We moved back to take of his mother. He was the baby of the family (she was 44 when he was born). She was the same age as my grandmother. Anyway, as military stationed away from family you get used to being your own little family. It wasn't necessarily big things just little things. It was a little overwhelming at first. We did adjust, it was just hard at first.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Cyndi thats what I am scared of. As much as I love the small town life I also hate the fact that everyone is always in your business. I havent had family in my business for years, it is going to be quite a change, not to mention I have pretty much put his family 1st for the past 12 years and now I am putting mine 1st, not only is it an adjustment for me but its going to be one for his Mom too. She will be an hour away from me and is going to be livid when I spend holidays with my family for once...anyways sorry for the rant. I am excited yet very cautouse(sp) |
