Deborah, I have a son that is six years old and a daughter that is three. Their names are Brendon and Taylor. It looks as though you are doing awesome on your weight loss according to your ticker count. Keep up the great work. I weigh myself again on Tuesday morning so I will find out then if I have lost anymore than 31 lbs.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Default That's great Janae....

Can you even believe it??? The weight loss is amazing I think...It really blows my mind! I love it...but it is sooooo weird to finally be loosing weight after trying sooo hard for soooo long!

Wow...so Taylor and Isabella are about the same age. Isabella is actually not quite 3...she'll be 3 this summer. She is very mature for her age and such a articulate little girl for her age!

It would be fun to get together when I get there...and we can let the kiddos play! We maybe could get some of the other girls...I think we all have kiddos ranging in the same age. I know the Fr1endly Lisa and Lisa Marie both have kids around the 3 age...and I think that one of them have a 7 year old....or something close.

Do you still go down to PA to see your surgeon??

Yes I do still go to Philly to see my surgeon. I am scheduled to see him again on the 19th unless I need to see him sooner. I am going to try to contact Tricare tomorrow and figure out some details on the insurance end since I ended up getting a bill from a clearance appointment with my pulmonary doctor that I didn't expect to get. They told me earlier that ANY test or appointment demanded by my surgeon pre op, would be 100% covered. I am also going to check and see if they will reimburse my mileage and parking at all. I figured out how much I have spent in Parking and Bridge Tolls so far and it is $164!!!! Crazy huh? I am not going to be devastated if they don't reimburse that, but it doesn't hurt to check into it. It would be fun to get together to play. We could get Jolie into the action too. She has a daughter a little older than my son and a son the same age as my daughter.

Question

Who is Jolie??
I think if she's on this board....I'm just missing her posts sometimes. I love to have whoever...and that sounds great.

I can't imagine what life will be like once I am living in NYC...I don't know how long it will take me time to est. where I am going...how long it will take for me to get there etc. ????
It's soooo weird!
Especially, when I am going to be relying on buses...subways...taxis...
Hmmm?? I guess I'll learn it soon enough. LOL.

Any way...let me know if your ins. covers all that travel and parking...wow. I am shocked that it is that costly...but, you are coming quite a HAUL.

I go to my Dr.'s support group tomorrow. I don't know what that will be like...but, it's tomorrow night. Have you ever been to a meeting before??
Hmmm...we'll see.

Okay, so I found out that Philly barely doesn't qualify for me getting reimbursed any of those expenses, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I am actually going through an ordeal where they are trying to not pay for one of my clearance tests (pulmonary) due to the fact that my surgeon made the appointment for me and that I didn't have a referral from my military doctor for it directly first. I am working on an appeal process for it and trying to get them to still reimburse me for the other two appointments (psych eval, and nutrition class) that I had to pay for up front. All in all it is a matter of just over $600 and I really hope that they pay, but if worse comes to worse, we will simply buckle down more and have less of a fun trip home this fall to see our family. I guess that I should count my blessings that I haven't had to pay more, but it is the principle of the fact that I was fed misinformation by my insurance company that may cost me money they would otherwise pay out. Besides, $600 is still a good amount of money to me. Oh well, I will do what I can and put the rest in His hands.

Red face $600 is A LOT for all of us....

WOW....that really stinks. I get soooo frustrated with insurance companys...
So....irritating!! I'm soooo sorry you are having to deal with this already!! I haven't really gotten any bills...etc from my doctor or the hospital...I don't know how long it will take...but, hearing what is going on with you...I'm praying that they will not to railroad me.....

Good luck sweetie...let us know how it is going...and how the insurance things turn out!!

Thanks for your support Deb, I am hoping that things will work themselves out, but am trying to be patient and understanding in the meantime. I will check back with the contact at the Tricare office Monday when I go to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy. Hopefully I will learn something then.
