ok heres the situation. this is NASTY too so if you cant stomach it look away LOL.

there is something going on in my belly button. its not like oozy or anything. it looks like a rash. the skin in there is welted and raised/ swollen. i guess its a bunch of scuzz from sweat and what not. smells like something crawled in there and died i called the dr's office over the weekend and they told me to swab it with alcohol a couple of times a day to dry it out until i get in on wednesday. nasty i know....but im guessibg its because i have had a piece of skin covering my belly button (like flapping over) since i lost the bulk of my weight and it cant really air out so to speak....

incidentally he told me NO POWDER. if it is yeast or some kind of fungus it will feed on it LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry i just cant get over how when i was fat i NEVER had anything like this and now that i am losing it's full on.... great

yes i know im documenting but to be honest TT is the furthest thing from my mind. and anyway, but the time i decide to have it, IF i decide, i probably wont be working where i am now ( THE BEST MEDICAL BENEFITS IN THE WORLD) so i doubt it will be covered.....

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Good Idea to keep it documented. I will keep that in the back of my mind too.. I get those rashes as well.. hummm... If all that other stuff doesn't work try the same cream they use for athleats feet it may be a yeast infection and you can use the cheap stuff from walmart it works just as good.

Ok so I have figured out a way to tuck it away BUT my concern is that strange things are happening to my flaps of skin particularly in the stomach area. I'm getting a rash type thing in between the flaps and in, yes thats right IN my belly button (which i just discovered i had by the way ). I AM NOT A DIRTY PERSON BY ANY MEANS. i wash sometimes twice a day. i use special moisturizers because i have eczema, not in these areas in particular, but traditional lotions and what not just dont work for my dryness.

my question is what do i do? i cant exactly avoid it because the skin is just there and i guess the constant rubbing against itself and or my clothing is irritating my skin. I honestly didnt think anything like this would happen to me because i didnt think i was heavy enough to have the skin hanging this bad or irritated this bad. im not too sure what to do. does this tighten up a bit further out? if i wear a girdle or something to lift it up will that alleviate the rubbing or make it worse? is it one of those things i will have to wait and see about?
Ok long story short... i developed the skin rash and whatnot a few years ago because i carry my weight in my stomache and my breast and the skin rubbing with the irritation blah blah blah... The "good" thing is, is that it is documented and with documentation and alittle trial and error treatment the excess skin can and will be removed and insurance will cover it. in my case 100% after WLS.. So my advice to you is.. go see you doctor tell he/she what is going on and what to do about it. and start consulting about (reconstructive surgery) not comestic.

I hope that helped... good luck...

take pictures of the rash and document it! the more you document the rashes and stuff the better chance with insurances assistance in removing it from what I've heard over the years.
