Hey girl I have a question for you. I am wanting to start a weight training regiment and need some helpful advice. I am doing cardio 7 days a week but I want to add weights into the mix. How often should I be working out with weight and how many reps how many times do you recommend. My main focus is on my triceps and my pecs as I am trying to lift these boobs up off my stomachAny other recommendations on what areas to work on would be great too. Thanks in advance

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

okey dokey...I'm going to have look over some of my stuff..I know the biggie for the boobs...this from my ex aussie hubby who was personal trainer..If you want them to point UP decline presses to build up the lower pecs, if you overbuild the upper with flies, etc, then they will point your nipple DOWN..

What worked best for me with my triceps, after doing tons I swear! of kickbacks was to do DIPS which you can do off the couch at home. but you also need to make sure to do shoulder work so that your shoulders are strong enough to hold up your body, expecially if you are like me and hold most of your weigh in the pear shape lower half! urgg.. I also like the pull-ups if you can find one that has a gym with the machine that 'assists' you with counter weight.

Don't do 7 days of cardio! you have to have ONE full day off of everything..seriously!
Plus like I've said before when you start doing the weights it is better for -US- posties to do weight every third day and not every second day like everyone else. We need that extra day to build back up.

I say start SLOW and build SLOW and when you have a good solid strength built up (core) then you can push harder. Remember it's a long, slow, steady road that gets the body not the quick one!!!

Personally for lower body I like using a barbell with squats and lunges but right now I am still not up to that due to this injury. Slow and steady i have to keep reminding myself . :-( it's not easy but slow steady strength is a better strength.

re: squats/lunges if you want a great butt they will get this for ya, but I am that doesn't mind bigger thighs if they are solid and muscled if possible in order to get that great butt.

if you are wanting slim thighs, the ones with the slimmest are always the ones who do major time on the elliptical at the gym with it set at a high incline (adjustible)

I will take 1 day off from cardio, I am just worried if I take the 1 day off I'll start making excuses again on why I cant go work out, ya know?
Anyways thank you for your help. My hubby is gonna have a heck of a time keeping up with me...lol..he loves all this weight training stuff.

yeah I hear ya, that was the hardest thing the trainer told me to do was to take a day off!!

huh? me? but but but..hey ...

lol..
our bodies need that time to recover..and we all need a day off. It develops discipline to make sure it's just the ONE day off :-D
