Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I feel good a size 12.... Yesterday we went to hangout with a friend from TX ....and saw a couple pictures of me - and thought - wow, why did I think that looked good?? OUCH! ![]() I'm still glad to be a size 12...but, my tummy area is troubling with all my "rolls...." & loose skin. The 'Rolls' are something I've got to mentally accept. Right now I'm watching "TIM GUNNS: Guide to Style"....and am rethinking some of my "clothes" that I've bought in my thinner days.... :::::sigh:::::

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | you have done excellent. you are extremely inspirational and motivation to all of us. of course i dont see any rolls in any of your pics ( and im squinting lol) there are certainly ways to smooth that out (non surgical) spanx is one to name a few. kind of expensive. i know when i was shopping for something to tie my flab down (lol) i went right to walmart and got one of their girdle type thingies (built like a swimsuit kinda) and it literally smoothed out everything. it might be worth a shot for a boost in the confidence dept. personally, i dont think you need it. i think you look great! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | You all are sooo sweet and encouraging.... BREN - UGH...I'm sooo there! Thanks for writing...it's probably been the hardest just looking at the droopy loose skin. I've known that I'll have to deal with it (I also knew that it was inevitable there is NO WAY to loose over 150#'s and NOT have the "skin issue")...and I try to work with the clothes I have to deal with the skin the best I can. Lately...it's more flabby....and more drooping skin....and I'm wanting my tummy tuck more and more. I know that I don't have 25#'s of skin....but maybe 5....and I know that I won't be getting a tummy tuck for sometime! We've got a WHILE until Russ is out of School.... anyway.... Thanks for going there with me....and sharing where you are too! I'm actually thinking of taking a belly picture in my new jeans....then you all would see what I'm dealing with! LOL....

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Spanxs are the GREATEST...but there are some things I don't like about SPANX.... Because I have the flabby legs where the legs end....it leave a ridge. (does anyone know what I'm talking about here?) Anyway....if I'm wearing a dress or skirt...it's okay. But not so good when I'm wearing jeans....or pants....etc. Anyway....I love spanx tights and hose...and now that it's FALL...and things are cooling off...I'll be wearing them again!

| Super Moderator | Deborah, you are a designer, you design some stuff that will deal well with your complaints. That said, what rolls? Anyway, a lot of those stuff are more what you notice, and others don't nor care, really. Of course, it's a boost to the sprit not to have to deal with the flab, so I hope you'll be able to get there even if it may be some time ahead.

| WLS Master Guru | I agree with Doc....what rolls....none visible in those pics you posted. One more thing about Spanx.............have your tried the footless pantyhose for under pants? I know what you mean about the ones that stop on the thigh. Now, my favorite one...........the one I will buy soon.......is the one that hooks on to your bra. That will help with some of my trouble spots. S |
