Default Flat on my face in the hallway

Well, this site sure helped me out a lot last nite. I have been getting lite-headed whenever I get up out of bed and could not figure out why and I was thinking of calling to get an appt with the Doc, which is like trying to see the President, he's so busy. Well, after going to town, I laid down for awhile cause I was tired. Thought I would get a glass of ice water, got up and grabbed my glass and the phone, it needed to be hung up in the living room. Three steps down the hall and I hit the floor!! Came to quickly, the phone was down the hall and I was laying in the water that my dropped glass had in it! My husband and son are standing above me asking me what happened and I don't know yet! Well, I got on here and read about Low Blood Pressure, and that's it!! So now I set up and let my blood circulate enough before I stand and I am okay!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Oh, good that you are doing better, but yes, do let your drs know what had happened. On another note, are you on any blood pressure meds? If so, get your blood pressure taken, and if it's low, have your dr decrease the meds, or be taken off them all together, depending on the numbers.

Yes, definately get with your docs. I was taken off my BP meds the day of my surgery and never needed to take it again...it leveled off perfectly. I had to purchase a monitor so that I could check it daily in the beginning, but I have done so well with it, I seldom use it anymore.

What a bummer. I know I almost passed out but flopped back down on the couch quickly. My dr took me off my bp med after that and I haven't had it since. Do let your Doc know.

Wow what a scary experience huh? I agree with all of the above about calling your DR's for sure. I had some light headedness the first week then after seeing the surgeon my BP was pretty low and I stopped the pills - saw the PCP two days later and it was still low so no more meds! No light headedness since.

the funny thing is, I never guessed my BP was low because my surgeon is on the third floor of the building and I am DEATHLY afraid of elevators and heights, I can't even go see him alone, someone has to come with me. So when they take my BP there, it is fine, because I am so scared while I am there it brings it up!
