well i think doc explained it. it's a trigger. you know like it makes you think of all the other stuff yu used to eat with it before??

i dont believe it stretches your pouch, otherwise i would be able to eat more than 2 ozs at a time LOL! i dunno. im no dr...but i think this is all in your head. if you are one of those people who cant just have a little of something, then dont even experiment.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Mattie,
I had been craving a diet Pepsi my daughter had one and I thought ok 1 sip. I put it in my mouth and could not swallow it, it was the most disgusting taste I have ever had in my mouth not to mention the carbonation was fizzing so much I spit it out, now I drink the DIET LIpton Iced Teas with Lemon, or peach or green tea.

My doc had the surgery and he drinks diet soda all the time. But yet recommends to his patients not to drink any soda. The "do as i say not as i do syndrome"

I read someplace you can drink some soda as long as it is flat but not to drink it all the time. I mean it really doesn't have much value but it does taste good. I am a big diet pepsi Jazz fan.. the carmel cream.. But I was more thinking along the lines of being able to drink flat gingerale if I dont feel well.

well a lot of it has to do with people going back to drinking sodas that are NOT diet. We had a 1.5 yr out gal in our support group at the physician's office who went back to drinking coke. Was in a bad relationship and went back to using bad coping mechanisms. She started gaining because she was drinking regular COKE..not diet.

Sometimes it's helpful to see what is going on thatmakes you believe you are 'craving' this stuff.

Popsicle makes a package of Diet A & W, Diet Dr. Pepper and Diet Crush popsicles. They are really very good and taste like the sodas. I found them at Wal Mart. It probably will do the trick for you Mattie.

I agree. Going back to old vices are not good, but I never really was a big soda drinker anyway. But now that I see some alternatives to the teas etc, I will try them. I did not know about the popsicles. Good idea. I also bought some of those sugarfree lemonade individual packs from Walmart for at work. The town I live in only has the itty bitty Walmart with no food so I guess I will make a trip to the big city and stack up on all these goodies you guys are using. Including this morning star stuff you all are talking about. Hope they have it. Thank all. Mattie

I also have a friend that had the GB surgery about 6 years ago. When she started back drinking soda, even though it was diet coke, she started gaining her weight back. It isn't worth it to me.
