Edie I think you are doing just fine. You have read where I eat a whole 4 oz at a time. You are just healing fnally and everything is starting to work. Think of it this way, you are losing now right? Your not starving your body any more and its letting lose the pounds.

hey I was reading about what was going on with the hunger and apple problem, I haven"t had the wls yet, so read on the lable before you try this, but I am watching carbs and adding protein and this has worked for me. In the store HEB they sell frozen mixed berries just take a few out of the bag put them in your bowl and put in the microwave just for a second, just to defrost for a second they will still be a little frozen, but that is what makes them good and sprinkle a little spenda on top, oooooh it is so good and cold and it is just something a little different, and berries are good for you also. Good luck I have another ideal for a straberry frozen drink real simple 1 cup frozen strawberries,1 cup water,2tablespoons lemon juice,1/4 cup splenda put in blender and blend add a few ice cubes and a few more strawberries if wanted, it is thick and you can eat it with a spoon it taste like a frozen drink. Good luck

boots everything looks good to me. I am able to eat a bit more these days also. I worry some times that i am able to eat to much also here is a exaample of one of my days one egg 2tablespoon shredded cheese 1 sasage pattie proten shake 1/2 cup of peachs in water(ones that come in the little cups 1/2 that) 2 1/2 to 3 oz chicken boca flame grilled berger with cheese brocclii and carrots and apple sauce 1/3 klondike bar (sugar free) I eat all of this and i stedaly loose like crazy so i have no complaints. I try to not be like a crazy sico and make shore i have a bit of every food group but in moderation to keep my skin looking good in color and my hair healthy. I have been told alot home much i look better then friends of mine that have had the surgery. I think its because i am such a stickler about makeing shore i eat protien protien but still get in my fruits and veggies. good luck boots but i think your doing just fine

Boots, My morning are usually something from Morning star, cottage cheese or yougurt. Somedays, I just do a protein shake for breakfast. ~100 calories with little or no fat Lunch is usually grilled chicken (If you go to Chik Fil A & get the char grilled sandwich...it's 1.5 grams of fat for the FILET ALONE & only 100 calories...I work so I'm not at home...and I throw the bread away and eat the chicken, sometimes with veggies) Sometimes I do a lean cuisine and always get the high protein, low fat ones- I won't buy ANYTHING with starches or carbs (pasta or potatos). I try to get creative with lunch, as it's usually my largest meal. Right now, my plan is eating 2 meals of protein and drinking one. Dinner is usually my protein drink - no fat, 100 calories/no sugar, fat or carbs! I am NOT snacking at all, with it being my honeymoon stage, I don't have the hunger pains. My doc said 3 meals a day, versus some who say 5 or 6 meals. Occasionally, I go over 500 calories, but I'm very strict on the fat/carbs (15 at the most). I was on Phen/fen years ago, and if you take in less fat than you burn, you can't help but lose. I also watch the sugars, as I know this goes right to my intestines and will make me dump. Honestly, it feels like I eat too much and I'm eating all the time...! |

Edie, you're doing fine. The first year out, you should be able to eat around 600-900 kcals as the months go by. In normal situations, and going by various medical associations such as ADA's recommendations, if you keep the intake to 1000-1200 kcals, you should be able to lose. The popular diets such as Atkins, South Beach etc are around 1500 kcals. You know you'll have your good days and bad days, so tomorrow, you may be able to eat only half as much. Besides, you lost out quite a lot at the beginning with your complications, your body wants to catch up on that now that you are able to eat better. So, hang in there, relax and enjoy.

In my store they are kinda in their own section. They are not with the Boca stuff at my store either. Morning Star has quite the selection at my store. And I think for the spicy black beans ones I paid like $2.69 or $2.89. I know Kenya mentioned she got a special on them like 2 for 4 or 2 for 5.00. also I think the burgers have 4 patties in them or maybe its 6. Im not sure.
