Babycakes,
My doc told me to eat no more than 4 oz = 1/2 cup at a time and to eat 5 meals a day. Sometimes I don't measure and I get myself in troulbe by eating more than 1/2 cup - I know I've eaten too much when my pouch starts hurting 30 minutes later and keeps hurting for about an hour.

I lost 11 pounds the first week, then only 4 more in the next two weeks. I know what you are feeling. But think about how few calories we are eating, there's just no way we aren't going to lose weight. Just gotta be patient.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Every doctor is different, and each has a plan that works! I only eat 3 meals a day, watching fat, calories, & carbs. It makes things interesting sometimes. The only thing I've REALLY gone overboard on is calories, but I try to get to the gym at least 3 days a week (this week has been bad..only went once).

Keep pushing and it will happen...my first stall was SO discouraging....but you will get thru it!

I agree with most everyone and i also hit my first plato early out it just part of this. keep your head up im shore your doing fine. always keep in the back of your head we did not gian this waight overnight and we will not lose it over night.

I also don't treat myself as this surgery is a punishmet to my body. I use my body now in the way it was inteded to be used. I stick to this NO bread rise posta NO fiberis meat and absolutly NO sugar i also try to stay away from pre made foods in the frozen section ya there easy but there not easy on your body. I find if i stick to this method I realy dont have to calorie fat or carb count becuse the things im puting in naturaly are low in calories fat and carb. My surgen told me that this method works and i cant complain it has worked.

Hello - nice to meet you! I had a 4 week stall that drove me bonkers! it was probably like week 6 or seven; kept bouncing the same two pounds. then it started moving again. Doc suggested we measure - partly for fun when we see how much a difference its made - partly to encourage us when we hit a good stall. Today I decided to measure around the first of the month and with today being Sunday, it seemed like a good time to measure. I measured first when I joined WW - AGAIN - about 1.5 yr ago and as of today I've dropped 26.5". That should help me thru the next slump. Also, are you allowed to walk for exercise yet? That helped moved the scale, I think, and I think some of my abd pain was from trapped air - walking seemed to help that too. Good Luck!

I am in the same boat as you - I have this painful spot on my left side - I helped my husband do something 3 weeks out and have hurt everytime I get up or down or even think about lifting anything. I did break down and call the Dr but they just said don't lift anything over 5 lbs and quit cleaning house like I was doing. I was feeling so good too! Now I have to move easily out of the chair. I am pretty tired of puree but I keep telling myself it is for about 5 more weeks and I can do anything 5 mins at a time. I am trying different stuff though to keep from having to drink so much protein drinks. I almost made it to 60 gms today. I don't like to throw up so stay on what the list says for now

Judy

Babycakes, have you tried the sugar free coffee flavorings? The brand name is DaVinci and I have to say they are pretty good. I mixed a couple of protein drinks and added the flavorings to try before surgery, it sure did help the taste. Just a suggestion to get you thru this period. I can't take credit for this tip, my friends husband had the surgery and discovered these flavorinigs and passed the info along.

Hang in there. your body is still healing and adjusting. Things will start moving again. Its natural to think something is wrong. Just take it each day at a time and things will move again.
