Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am very happy for everyone loosing weight and looking so good, but I don't know why i'm not loosing that much weight. I see some of you had surgery after me and have lost a lot more. I don't understand what i'm doing wrong. I tried the strawberry, the more fat, the more protein tactics and nothing. I have spent more than a month without loosing anything and now i lost 2 lbs. well, don't get me wrong I know i have lost weight and I feel it and see it, and i have gone down 2 sizes but when i see everyone else I feel slow. I'm getting desperate. am I doing something wrong? ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hey... I don't know if you are doing anything wrong, I haven't had my surgery yet. I really understand your frustration however. The best person to talk to about this would be your surgeon. Please keep your chin up and keep working on it! Take care and good luck Laurie |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I think because you started at a lower weight your weightloss will be slower. Also I know I had a stall that lasted a really long time. I say talk with your nutritionist and see what they think, maybe they can give you pointers on what to do or change. I understand how frustrating it is to be watching everyone else drop pounds like melted butter, hang in there and dont give up |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Some of the guys were on liquid diets before surgery and took off lbs. Others have lost weight before their surgery on diet diets so don't get discouraged. Just look at your longterm health and you will get there Judy

| Super Moderator | ((((((HUGS))))) You started out at a lower weight than most of the people on board here, so the actual numbers will be less, but the ratio is the same--in other words, you will lose about half of what you need to lose in the first 6 months, the next quarter in the next 6 months, and the last quarter from month 12-18 or 24. So far, you've lost about 38% of what you need to lose in 3 months, so that is pretty good. If you compare the actual lbs with others, you're going to mess your head. Just focus on the sizes you are going down, so, what size do you wear now, as compared to before? You're doing fine, ((((((HUGS))))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | DONT COMPARE LBS. we all started off WAY HEAVIER than you. it's something that to this day still messes with MY head. i asked around at one point and everyone on here is shorter than me lol! that plays a HUGE roll. height against weight. the shorter you are and the more you weigh the fasted you will lose. well that makes things even more discouraging for those of us who are GIANT. relax. you are doing good. you may have hit a stall too. guaranteed while you are not losing lbs you are losing inches., CHIN UP! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | ur at a pretty normal time for a plataue. They happen and its usually when the visiual inches are comeing off verses the pounds on the scale. just follow the rules\ and things will continue to go well for u \ hang in there and take a new pic and compare to a before!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hang in there everyone looses at different rates. And Doc posted something about the more you have to loose and the higher weight you are the quicker its gonna come off. Your body will do what it needs to do. Hang in there. I know that is easier said than done. Keep up the good work. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Thanks to all. I did weight myself today at the supermarket and i'm at 157 so i guess this past week i have lost about 5 lbs. I know I shouldn't weight myself that much but I was worried being at 162 for more than a month. Anyways I started at size 18 or 2x sometimes and now i'm 14 and large (could fit on medium but still tight). I am happy about that. thanks again.
