Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Sooo.....I have a silly question! I am 10 days out from surgery, I am feeling GREAT have had no problems and feel a little thinner but not sure. So here is my question for you. I know everyone loses differently - but I am curious what everyone's first month looked like. Did you tend to lose a lot? a little? I just dont know what to expect and I think I am begining to panick that I am gonna be the one NOT to lose! Well I know I will but you know what I mean....I am sure I am not the only that is/has felt this. So.....what was your experience? Is there any words of advice for me? I am excersizing everyday - I need to increase my time but right now i am walking 15-30 mins a day but I tend to get tired but figure it is better then not doing it. Thank you in advance to everyone - you guys have been a lifesaver to me

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | That is perfect...15-30 mins. You are just out of surgery. You will work up to it. I didnt feel anything, which is why I was taking the pics biweekly so that I could see it. Now I think that I am going to do it once a month. When that scale does NOT move for me, the pics do. You are going to do fine! Just get those liquids in!! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I'm like Kath, I can tolerate just about everything I put in my mouth. I lost 17 pounds, but then I'm starting at a lower weight than others so I'm not going to see such drastic losses. I was very weak for the first three weeks and still tired out easily the 4th week. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I lost 26 lbs the first month. I was tired all the time. Did a little walking but not much. I started exercising at Curves at 4 weeks. Sounds like you are doing "normal"... LOL. Hang in there. Sip, sip, sip and try to get as much protein as you can.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Once you get rid of all the fluid from surgery and drink that water you will go down. My husband measured me. When I feel like I am on a plateau weight wise the measurments reflect the hard work and going down in clothes sizes. IT WILL HAPPEN. DON'T WORRY. Mattie |
