Default What did your first month look like??

Sooo.....I have a silly question!

I am 10 days out from surgery, I am feeling GREAT have had no problems and feel a little thinner but not sure.

So here is my question for you. I know everyone loses differently - but I am curious what everyone's first month looked like. Did you tend to lose a lot? a little? I just dont know what to expect and I think I am begining to panick that I am gonna be the one NOT to lose! Well I know I will but you know what I mean....I am sure I am not the only that is/has felt this.

So.....what was your experience? Is there any words of advice for me? I am excersizing everyday - I need to increase my time but right now i am walking 15-30 mins a day but I tend to get tired but figure it is better then not doing it.

Thank you in advance to everyone - you guys have been a lifesaver to me

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

That is perfect...15-30 mins. You are just out of surgery. You will work up to it. I didnt feel anything, which is why I was taking the pics biweekly so that I could see it. Now I think that I am going to do it once a month. When that scale does NOT move for me, the pics do. You are going to do fine! Just get those liquids in!!

MY first month i lost upwards of 20 something lbs...and it was all down hill from there LOL!!!! im kidding....you will probably lose the most your first month. i think most of its water to be honest. all the darn "fasting" and getting rid of the swelling and what not.

i DO remember walking. i walked twice a day every day for 15 - 20 minutes. we would just go around the block a few times. nothing big. and i remember i had OODLES of energy. i was so excited. everything was so new. now....Blaaaaaaaah. lol.

you're doing fine keep up the good work!

August 1 surgery....doctor 3 weeks later and I was down 25 pounds. I have never had any complications and can tolerate things a lot of people can't (coffee, beef, dairy)

I'm like Kath, I can tolerate just about everything I put in my mouth. I lost 17 pounds, but then I'm starting at a lower weight than others so I'm not going to see such drastic losses.

I was very weak for the first three weeks and still tired out easily the 4th week.

I lost 26 lbs the first month. I was tired all the time. Did a little walking but not much. I started exercising at Curves at 4 weeks. Sounds like you are doing "normal"... LOL. Hang in there. Sip, sip, sip and try to get as much protein as you can.

Once you get rid of all the fluid from surgery and drink that water you will go down. My husband measured me. When I feel like I am on a plateau weight wise the measurments reflect the hard work and going down in clothes sizes. IT WILL HAPPEN. DON'T WORRY. Mattie
