Default Cleaning out Closet Depression...

Okay, I spent the afternoon trying on clothes and stuffing the ones that are too large into empty bags. It was kinda of fun.

Then -- when I finished and stepped back -- I could tell that my closet walls need painting...LOL.

I now have 127 empty hangers in my closet. That is the sad part.

I will have to be good and not splurge on clothes till I can toss out the 18s
and 16s still hanging there. That is the hard part.

But boy oh boy, what a shopping spree I will eventually have. That will be the fun part.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I'm with you girlfriend! It will be fun -- but I've decided to spend a little as I go along this journey too. Just so I have something new and fun to wear -- even if only for a little while. So I'm trying to buy myself things that are one size smaller than I am now and look forward to "getting into them" at some point in the future. This is a time to celebrate! And I LOVE to shop for clothes! Just bought myself two pair of the cutest black boots for fall/winter (if fall/winter would ever get here so I could wear them!)

I also cleaned out my closet this week and it was really sad, but happy. I have very little that I can wear. I have been wearing the same vneck tshirts from walmart for the past month. Everything else was just way too big and I could not wear it without fear that it would fall completely off while teaching, which would be very very bad. But, I am trying to look to the future and realize that it is going to be fun to go into stores that I have never been in before to buy clothes.

Boots, Kenya, and I all talked about this one night in the chat room. I know that the shirts I talked about in my post fit on me; I used to like my shirts to cover my stomach and butt, but now, I want them to fit right and close. I do think my tastes are changing. I cannot wait to try on a pair of jeans that fit low on my hips.

I hope my taste changes LOL I'm so tired of frumpy! I just got home from Bealls where I tried on Misses sizes - havent worn Misses since probably 1988..... DH wants me to drag out my old clothes - sorry, they're history - I tried a couple of tops that I'm sure I'll wish I'd bought- My clothes strategy consists of buying a few key pieces at reasonable prices, here's the key, I buy them to wear with black slacks for work. I saw a show once that suggested that for traveling lite and I thought it would work well for my "career clothes"

well....lol.
i have a similar experience cyndi. i actually packed everything, and went back thru it. the only stuff that actually fit was 4 pairs f jeans and 6 shirts.....thats it. everything else is going to the slavation army. and i have A LOT of clothes. I used to work in retail
my tastes have definitely changed. WHen I look at the piles I see a lot of HUGE sweaters and zip up fleece and sweatshirts and what not. no more. everything fits. by that i mean it doesnt hang anywhere. LOL. i wouldnt say tight because i can breathe and am quite comfortable. but its definitely "form fitting" and i was never like that before. i am very into lines now. i dont like things that hang or appear baggy or loose because it doesnt have a clean line. i know you all probably think i am nuts, and thats fine, but thats how i have changed. i went from baggy and frumpy to tiny tees and jeans that fit and... i love it.

i wonder what next summer will bring LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's kind of my plan. My wardrobe has been basically black for a long time. LOL. My kids make fun of me for it. But I have to look professional and be perpared to go to court on any given day. I keep a "throw down suit" hanging in my office. I am going to change it out Tuesday when I go back to work. Wouldn't that be a hoot --- show up in court with a suit that could slide off me...LOL

I am down to 3 pairs of pants that fit. 2 black and 1 brown. I have a few tops, but not a lot. I do have several dresses, but I don't particularly like to work in them. I do electronic and computer setup in the courtroom and run the equipment during trials. That's not always ladylike in a dress...LOL.

Kenya -- don't think your crazy. Girl your as cute as a button, I think you deserve to look cute in tees and jeans that fit.
