Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Update on last EGD  Hello Everyone, I haven't been on for awhile so I thought I would update. I had my second EGD a week ago and it didn't go to well. They couldn't get me completely out so I felt alot of the procedure. I also had alot of blood. I am having the restriction again so the doctor said I will have to have a 3rd EGD. It's been pretty depressing and discouraging to me. I know it is a risk when you have the surgery but I didn't think it would take 3. I am chew, chew, chewing my food and still get sick cause it gets stuck. Have alot of you had this problem? I know there has been a few. My doctor said it happens to about 1 to 2 %. I hope all of you are doing well and losing lots. I go to the doctors again on the 11th so we'll let you know. Hugs to all....Bonnie

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Yes I Had A Stricture And Had 3 Dialations Done Unfortunelty On The Third One It Ended Up Purfirating Me (ripping Me Open) And I Ended Up In The Hospital That Was About 3 Weeks Ago And Since Then Im Fine. Usually After Each Dialation After About 5 Days The Food Gets Stuck Again And I Have To Go And Get An Other Dialation But Ever Since I Had The Last One I Have Been Good For A Little More Than 3 Weeks Now. I Can Totally Relate What Your Going Thru And So Sorry You Have To Go Thru This Now. If You Ever Need To Talk Im Here.

The doctor said he tried to stretch it as far as he could without doing damage but said I will have to have another one. I hope my 3rd one goes better and I don't have to go through what you did. It definitily is not a fun procedure. At least we're not alone right? Wouldn't wish this on anyone!! I'm tired of throwing up!! Much loves...Bonnie

Right Where I Had The Leak And Absess From When I Had The Rny Surgery. The Tare I Just Recently Had Was Hell!!!!!!!!! | Super Moderator  | Most strictures are at the stoma. Esophagus is not as frequent. Did you have a lot of acid reflux pre op? That could be one of the reasons for esophageal stricture.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hey Doc Hey Doc, Where is the stoma or what is it? I never had acid reflex too badly before the operation. Just once in awhile. All I know is I get in terrible pain and my whole body hurts when I get a restriction. Hugs!
