So..my surgeon's office has a monthly support group...I've never attended....
See...I found this AWESOME site online, and TRUTHFULLY and VERY HEART-FELT...I DON"T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YOU GUYS...
I come here with WOW moments, moments of despair, topics I'm wise on, others I'm clueless with...
MY POINT IS...YOU GUYS ROCK...I'm so thankful for this site, and I wanted to take a minute and thank ALL of you for being wonderful people! You console, you advise, you are honest and SO MUCH FUN...

Yeah My Doc Has A Support Group Also And A Forum But No One Really Uses The Forum Much And Tell You The Truth I Find So Much Love And Support From This Site I Dont Really Feel The Need To Go To The Support Group When I Could Be Spending That Time With You Guys.

my surgeons office has meetings twice per month. i havent been to one ever. i found this place and never even thought about it. i feel the same as you all, I love it here! wouldnt have it any other way.

DITTO!!!!!!! I know support is VERY important, but I honestly feel that I get it from this place. I really REALLY do. I haven't been to a meeting either, so I guess it wouldn't be fair for me to compare what we have here to a meeting, but I truly feel we have it all right here. We have post ops 2 yrs out, 5 yrs out, we have a Dr. here to help explain and give advice (when she can "legally"). I feel totally blessed to have all of you in my life.

Yep, I agree too! My favorite thing is that it seems like someone is always passing thru to talk to and if you have a question or are worried about something at, say, 3am you can dig around and almost always find info here. My doc's support group is more like an advertisement for his program, we dont really talk to other postops, just the people looking into having surgery. I luv this site!

I agree, this site is awesome! I only wish that we were closer together so that we could all get together occasionally. That is the only advantage that I see with a support group. My doc has one that meets on the first Saturday every month, but unfortunately I have not been able to get to one. My little guy plays on a traveling soccer team, so our weekends are always tied up.
