Default Calcium

Does anyone know how wi can we tell if we are getting enough calcium? I just had my blood work done and everything was great but they didn't do any test for calcium. I know that some of you are having trouble with you teeth and Doc said something about slow calcium loss possibility.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

As long as your getting in your surgeon recommend amount im shore your fine I take it 2 times a day because you can only absorber so much calcium at one time it needs to be spaced out.

DOC can probly tell ya about it better then I though

There are lots of different blood tests, your PCP should have specified a Complete Metabolic Panel, that would show if your calcium is good.

yeah Im surprised that they didnt test for it. All the times that Ive had mine tested they have tested for it. I had a low reading and they bummped things up.

I would ask. and yeah Im the one who got a cavity after no cavities for 20 years. Im a bit worried about this. Im hoping this isnt a downside to this journey. Goign fo rthe drill on monday.

Not sure about the calcium either, but I am supposed to have a bone density test done. Also I do know we are not supposed to take our calcium at the same time we take B12 or other vitamins. Mattie

For Ca blood level, a complete panel, or ask specifically that Ca be done.
However, even if your blood level is high, your bone may be delpelted, so a bone density exam added to the blood labs is best, especially if you're past menopause, as women start to lose bone density with menopause, and that can compound the Ca dificiecy due to malabsorbtion.
