I had the leg cramps as well...Kenya told me about the bananas and I SWEAR by them now! I have not had that problem since the first couple of weeks. As for the eggs, I STILL have a problem with them. I have tried scrambled, fried with Pam, boiled...some days they sit somewhat ok, but most they are a NO GO! Like they have said, just wait a while and try them again. I hope that you get to feeling better.

Yup I put a banana in my protein shake every day. My potassium levels were very low with my blood work. Now I just add one daily. Things will get better and yes try to stay away from teh scale. Easier said than done but try to stay away. And yes the first two times I hate eggs they were not good experiences. Never got sick but a yuck feeling and sat hard in my chest. I eat them every now and then now at 6 months post op but things do sit different each time. |

My potassium dropped pretty low after surgery and I am still crushing those big tablets daily but my leg cramps have pretty well stopped. I am not a big fan of bananas but do try to get in the tomato juice daily. I put the crushed pills with my applesauce and have no problem. Judy

we drink so much water now, it washes the potassium out of our system. Bananas are high in potassium and it will help with muscle cramps and charlie horses. I don't get them all the time, but I have since surgery (on occasion).

As for the weight loss, just think, before surgery could you ONLY lose 20 lbs in 3.5 weeks? That is a good weight loss! Just hang in there.
