Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Great info, everyone! Thanks for sharing.
My surgeon says a big no to using straws due to the swallowing air, issue. I just ordered some Unjury protein powder. I've heard some good things about it and know I'll need something when I get home from the hospital. I ordered the chocolate and unflavored.

I like to eat ice cubes cuz that way I feel like I am eating more and am more satisfied, plus it makes sure that I don't take in too much at a time. Just a hint. Maybe if some of you are post op and having a hard time you can buy an ice shaver. I bought a sugar free cherry syrup to go over mine or you can use the crystal light over it too and it is a good treat to help you take in more water.

I have been averaging about 50-70 grams of protien a day now.
Is that enough to keep up with our protiens??
Some days even more, but for the most part I get alot of the protien in from my milk(2-3) glasses a day, as well as yogurts and protien drink.

Occasionally i have water in a resturant with a straw, and lots of lemon that I sqeeze and throw a Pack of sweetener in there to create a yummy glass of lemon ade.
I like the sugar free syrup idea...hhmmmmm. Will have to look for that.

Tootles,

ROBBIN

I like to do the same thing with water at a restaraunt, but don't usually drink it with a straw. I have not been the best about the protein so I am not the best one to ask about it. Proteins from actual meats don't seem to do well with me.

I have a friend post op that actually swears that she does better with the straw than without so I don't know. I just try to go by my surgeon for the most part on this one. Good to know you burp if ya gotta...lol.

Thanks for the great advice. I will have to come back and read it often to remind myself.
