| Update on whats going on here
Well after talking to Will and doing some heavy soul searching I have decided to NOT move to Texas. Will is going to be gone for 15 months and then when he gets back he'll have to stay here another year before he can change duty stations, so that would be 2 years away from us. Not to mention its a whole different world in the civilian life. I think I will have better support here from other people going through the same thing.
So we are moving back to Schofield. The electric bill here is insane, so we are going to move back into housing on base. The kids are excited to be back with their friends. I am excited because this means I get a NEW house. Anyways thats about it here. Just trying to enjoy Will as much as I can these next few weeks

Christy yes we will have to be seperated for 15 months. He will leave for Iraq the 1st Week in Dec and return here to Hawaii March of 2009. He will get 2 weeks of R&R where he can fly back here when he has completed 7 months of his tour in Iraq. So we will be sepreated for 7 months have 2 weeks together and then be seperated for 8 months

Becka I know that was a very hard choice for you. All things considering its a good thing your staying were you are and going back to base housing. It will be easier on you and your kids when they get back to there old friends. Bless your heart on the power bill honey. Here in my part of Va they raised the thing last Oct 29 percent. It took the state until April to decide the power company didnt get the 29 percent then until August to make them fix our bills back and give our money back buy deducted bills. Now of course there at it again wanting to raise it some more again. They can do this without approval before hand. Anyways not to get off your subject. You eat your hubby up with the weeks you have left with him before he deploys again. My heart is with yall during this time.

Well, the best thing is that you made the decision as a couple and I'm sure it will be the best in the long run! A new house will be great and base housing can be very nice. I understand they've built a whole bunch of new housing in Hawaii. Good luck!

Becka, glad you and hubby reached a joint decision. I know how hard it is to have to have your hubby leave on tours of duties--my husband and I both were in the Air Force, me for 2 years and Bill for 20 yrs. It was a life I loved and still miss(Bill retired in 1984) I think you definetely will get the support you need from your military family while your hubby is away, and then going home for the summer will be a good thing for you and ther kids. Tell your husband thank you for going to Iraq and helping to make this a safer country. I hope the time separated will go by quickly for you and your honey.
