Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Default When did you get to start pureed or regular diet?

Hi! I am just about a week behind you. My surgery was 10/5/07. My surgeon still has me on heavier liquids. Today I had 1/2 and Ensure for Breakfast, 1/4 non-fat cottage cheese for lunch and the other 1/2 of the Ensure for dinner. I am so bored with this menu. I can't wait until Friday. That is when I am supposed to be able to start pureed foods. Does this mean I can take any "normal food" (that is lowfat, high protein and no sugar) and puree it? I am not sure what to start with and what kind of variety I will be able to stomach. I am dying for something with flavor; like chili or taco meat. I miss the spice.

I can have anything that I can small enough to eat. This means ground meat (I use ground turkey because it doesn't have all the fat). I haven't found anything that I can hold more than three or four bites though. Hang in there, it will get better.

Something else, I also eat a small, small amount of cheese grits some mornings. I haven't lately though because I have been drinking low carb protein shakes for breakfast to try to get in enough protein.
