Thumbs down Not SO GOOD 2.5 YEAR BLOOD WORK UP

oKAY SO LAST MONTH I HAD GONE TO MY pcp...
AND HAD MY FULL BLOOD WORKED UP.

i really havent been well for months now, but
i been associating this with the bout with SHINGLES,
and being a mom to 3 kids and working fulltime i
just push and push myself.

SO turns out my b12 is way down.
AND
i am anemic...
so this answers why i am feeling sooo

so i am on iron pills, got a b12 shot
and picked up b12 pills at gnc. he WILL
give me another b12 shot next month and
we will discuss if my tiredness is better then.

so thats me for this far out...
MAYBE NOW ILL be feeling much better then
i have been.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Lisa I am sorry you are feeling tired. It's normal to think that the tiredness is from our everyday life. I am glad you had a workup and you are now going to try to get back on track. Try to take care of yourself. Hope you have better results next month.

I think that it's just so easy to forget that our systems aren't the same as everyone elses. We have to be ever aware of the fact that we don't obsorb all our vitamins and minerals like every else. I have a question for you - were you still taking two chewable vitamins and three calciums chews a day. I'm just curious but if you don't want to say I understand. Along with that I also take 500 mcg of sublingual B-12 2 to 3 times a week. This is what I'm doing at 6 months out, I just hope I keep it up and it still works at 2 yrs out.

Renee...thanks for the kind words! YEAH i neglect myself and was very overdo for my blood work up.

JANONDONLY...no i dont mind saying what i been taking... yes i take 2 chewable centrums daily and my calicum. BUT.........i stopped takeing the nascobal and getting the b12 shots. Never got to doctor for the scripts and of course i thought
i was well. BUT NOW LOOKINg BACK i been so rundown and tired for months now.
I slacked on my b12 and shouldnt have my own fault! THE further out you get it happens. I was so good the first year and half.

SO everyone dont slack on your supplements! WE NEED THEM. needless to say these deficiencies cause the MOOD swings too.

Awww, I hope you start to feel better real soon. At least you know what it is and its pretty straight forward -- associated with your surgery and your weight loss. The iron should kick in real soon and you'll be back to running around without a stop!

Glad that you found out what it was and that you were able to get a B-12 shot...I had my 3rd one last week and I had sooooo much energy! I bought the B-12 sublingual pills, but it is just easier to remind myself to walk into my PCP's office once a month and get it over with. I dont see the dr, but his nurse wants to weigh me so that she can track my weight in my chart with each visit.

Lisa, my friend, so glad you have the work up and know what can get you up and going again. It's so easy to get lax as the time goes by.

Praying for healthy future blood work for you.

Lisa honey Im sorry to hear that. As someone posted we think its normal to feel run down and tired and that is just not true. Now I havnt had my surgery very long but i know before I had this done some days I was good to get out of bed much less anything else. They DX a thyroid problem with me which was one of the culprits. Apena being the second. I know you have apena or had it. Keep check on yourself and get your levels back up honey. Im dealing with anemia myself and its not fun. Take care of you honey and let us know how you progress.
