Default Going To The Gym

Well, I talked to my surgeon's office today and they told me that I can now go to the gym if I agree to do cardio only and no lifting. And she said to listen to my body. I am so excited. My whole family has decided to join, so we will see how often they go with me. I know this will make me feel better too.

ALso, she told me that my doctor didn't want me to try to get in 65 g protein a day right now. She said that was too much for the amount that I'm able to eat right now. She said to just be sure that protein is the first thing I eat at each meal and not feel up on other stuff first.

For some reason, I feel a bit relieved and am just hoping this helps this stall.

Sorry for rambling, just thought I would share.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thanks, Lisa. I sure hope so. It's about to drive me crazy. I know people say sit back and relax, but that's hard to do.

I think the gym will help a LOT!! I go 3-4 days a week and sometimes it's hard to get motivated to fit this in, I ALWAYS feel better after I've gone!

Keep us posted on who goes with you! My daughter started going with me, but lately, she's been bailing and I've gone alone!

Yeah, Kathy, I know it will make me feel better. I know it's going to be hard to fit it into my schedule, but I know I have to. With work, church, softball, and taking care of the house, life stays pretty busy.

I believe walking has been a huge plus for me when I stalled out initially. Now Im stuck = again= so I try to give the walk more energy hoping for the same response. I would love to join a gym but they're so darn expensive and I just dont think it's gonna happen right now. I was so surprised some cities have gyms that start at $10 a month!!!! That's a steal. In the meantime, I bought some hand weights and am doing the cardio thing. Hang in there, the scale will move again!

I love my deep water aerobics. With my hip and knee problems and now the arthritis in my foot I just cant get a workout like I can in the water. Our classes are six weeks 2x a week for forty dollars. The only problem I have here is that swim team is starting soon so they dont have aerobics till Feb but I have my own noodles and I am getting my own belt and water dumb bells. And some of us from the class are going to go in the mornings during the week and do our own work outs to keep up. And its cool because a few of the girls do the water walking as well and know all the moves and are going to show us that just do deep water. And just in case some of you girls think a water workout doesn't work you out like going to regular aerobics let me say that our teacher is a reg aerobics teacher by day and a water teacher by night. And she kicks our butts.. Its a true cardio work out and I love the water.... So if any of you have this option in your area go if you can for six weeks and check it out.. You may find a new workout option..
