Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | For the last fue days I have been feeling weird. After I eat my regular mesured portions at my meals i am not feeling full and this worrys me a bit. I do not eat more but the hole reason i had this done was so i would have the feeling of fullness because that was most of my problem before surgery i never felt full. I am only 3 months out and i am totaly feeling the same way i used to and this scares the heck out of me because i never wanna go back to what i was before. I read much on here about people who are ferther out that eat much less then i do and feel full or sick. I hardly ever am haveing this feeling and i have never dumped the only thing that i experianced early out was what i thought was foameys. HELP I AM WORRED I CAN EAT TO MUCH AND I AM NOT FEELING FULL ![]() I was able to eat a hole pack of oatmeal 3 slices bacan and 2 table spoons of apple sause is this normal breakfast Or 3 chicken strips 1 polio string cheese and a half of a little pre pack peaches in water the little cups half of that is this 2 much ? I hope im just freeking out for nothing

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | hi ashley! sorry your getting scared. BUT it happens. THE appetite will increase but never to what it was pre surgery. IF thats the case and u stay this little u would be malnourished over long term. We have to eventually eat more. BUT are you sure your mostly eating protein at ur meals. As thats a food that is supposed to keep us full the longest. Other foods tend not to keep us full as long and will cause hunger early. NOW i am sure your not but your not drinking with the meals? or starting on ur liquids tooo soon after a meal. I know i have to wait before i start so that i dont push food thru to fast and not keep full and satisfied??? In all reality pre op u ate far more then that im sure. I remember getting so scared the day i was able to eat a full piece of pizza ....freaking a little. BUT when i got honest with myself, pre op i ate 3 slices... nibbled all the kids crusts so was 1 piece really that bad? NO. but to keep healthy over time we will get hungry and eat more then the first months.

| Ashley, I think it's normal for us to panick. You're doing great. Just go by what your doctor says and you will be fine. These girls around here that are further out from surgery definitely know what they're talking about.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Ashley some days I can eat a cup of food. Not all days but some. My surgeon said for me to be at a cup or cup and 1/2 by by 1 year anniversary and right now I am at 6 months. Some days are more than others. And like everyone else says, we never ate this little of an amount before surgery. I think we think its alot due to us eating so little in the very begining. But I do eat more some days. Its normal. |
