| Lets Talk Bruiseing:
Okay...
lets talk bruiseing and what this is. I am thinking its a deficiency i am very bruised up and this is not because i have less padding on me...i mean
come on i havent lost weight in year and half and have never seen this going on....
so what supplement would cause this? is this from my lo iron issue or what? its real bad. I had a spa pedicure and cant believe the bruises on my leg plus new ones today from the massageing and i get this all the time and never saw such on me.....
SO anyone have ideas. I am seeing my surgeon ON NOV 15th and will bring this issues up with him as well but figured i would put this out here for anyones knowledge????
thanks in advance...

It could be low iron also, anemia will lead to easy bruising and low energy

What was your platelet count? Platelets are the particles in your blood that stops the bleeding, so if your platelet count is low, that can be the cause.
There are a number of reasons that the platelets become low, so it's best not to wait until Nov 15, but ask your surgeon to refer you to a hematologist, rather than scout around for deficiencies.

Ferritin is pretty low, but hemoglobin level is not that bad.
It looks like your platelet counts weren't taken.
If it's a completel blood count panel, along with the numbers that relates to the red blood cells, there should be data for WBC (white blood cell count) and platelets, usually abbreviated as plate. Anything that indicates that?
And yes, with the easy brusing and no platelet count done, you should get in touch with your surgeon pronto for a work up in that area, or get reffered to a hematologist ASAP, and have the hematologist do the blood work.
