Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | First the doctors said my body showed signs of starving to death, that the billirubens and keytones in the urine was a bad sign. So for two weeks I had to wait and worry. I went through my day as if there was nothing wrong than that night I would climb into bed alone and cry. I would be driving down the road and think of my husband gone on the fires and I would realize that I again was going to have to deal with this on my own. So again I wuld cry. I went into my appointment hoping for the best and did get some good news with the bad. My labs came back and everything was very good except I am low on protien. That one is easy to fix. Just eat more. But it turns out that the very low blood pressure was not do to low sodium. Would you believe that one time when taken it was 84/49? So she says to me increase your sodium intake and if this doesn't work I'll have to see a cardiologist. Gosh and I was just worried that I had hit a platue! Oh but wait did I say that the protien deal was an easy fix. Nope turns out that my body isn't asorbing it like it should be. God how I miss my husband. Things just seem to be getting worse. Theres more going on than just this but I don't want to be ranting to very much. I'm just feeling so absolutely alone and so very scared and tired. I don't know how much more I can bare to hear. I can't seem to control the tears any more. I just want to climb into bed and pull the covers over my head but I seem to have to much going on for that. But I believe that may just be a good thing right now. Oh well I should really be going I should be doing school work or straightening up the war zone I call a living room. Thanks for letting me express some of the emtional termoil I've been going through. ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Just wanted to offer my support and offer you a ((((((HUG))))))) I'm so sorry your having to deal with this with your hubby gone.... | Super Moderator | First off, (((((((HUGS)))))))) I hope just coming here and sharing your troubles with us makes you feel a tad better, this is what we are here for. What actually is your daily protein intake? If you aren't absorbing enough, have you tried to spread protein throughout the day instead of concentrating them into meal times? Snack on protein foods in between meals. We (all of us, post ops, pre ops, non ops) can absorb only so much protein during a given time. So, you have a better chance of getting your protein level up by spreading it over the day with the same total intake. Oh, and what about your water intake? Are you getting enough fluids to prevent dehydration? You know, dehydration often gets in the way of absorbing nutrients properly. As for your bluesy feeling. It is quite common to feel depressive during the losing stage, actually, as you are trying to adjust to a drastic change in your life style daily. For one thing, you have lost a method to cope--food. So, if you are emotionally in a rut, I suggest you talk to your PCP or your surgeon, and get some professsional help. There's no need for you to suffer alone, share your burden with others. Take things one day at at time, that's for the best. (((((((HUGS)))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Bless your heart darlin. Hugs. You feel so alone right now. I understand that. Maybe it wont be a bad idea to take a few days off and try to get yourself together. Somtimes we all need that. Call a good friend or some family and talk. Talking always seems to help. I wish I was closer to ya to visit you. Your husband being away is very hard im sure. Mine was just recently gone for 3 days and i had to catch myself from calling him up and telling him to come home. I have never been like this before. Im not sure what is going on with you and your health right now but I know if you try one of the dreaded protein shakes mabye that will help boost your absorbson. I know we can load our bodys with protein and only so much can be absorbed. That is one reason they set such high goals for WLS paitents to intake so much because less than half is probally absorbed. Honey as far as a plateu your only 17 lbs from goal. Dont let that stress you. We all hit them. Right now you need to destress yourself and get good foods in your system. Make that phone call to a friend or family member and please feel better. Your only 10 months out and wow at the weight you have lost. Our DOC on this site can help you emensly when she comes in later. I do hope you feel better soon. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It's no wonder you feel overwhelmed!!! Good grief! When I get to feeling a bit overwhelmed I set a few priorities and just focus on them for a while. Maybe it will help things seem more reasonable. Also, focus on you some, maybe sneak off for a pedicure (while you sip a protein drink |
