Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Lazell, sorry you're feeling so tired all the time, but being it's only been five weeks since your surgery it's probably that your body has just gone through a big ordeal and it's still healing. I remember being tired too. Try to get in enough protein, that's really important. I drink a prepared protein drink, called EAS and I like it. The more protein you take in the better you will feel. Also, you should call your Doctor-see what he has to say. Good luck sweetie.

Thanks for bringing this subject up. I've never heard anyone else talk about it and just figured something was wrong with ME--which still may be true... LOL It very well MAY be that you are still tired from surgery. So I don't know if we're in the same boat or not.

I am SOOOOOO exhausted that I thank GOD I'm on disability leave for something ELSE!!! I'd probably get fired otherwise. I get up fine in the morning but fall asleep off and on ALL DAY. My Doc actually put me on Provogil, which is for a disorder with daytime "sleep attacks" that are uncontrollable. THAT hasn't even helped.

I'm non-Op and use protein shakes daily. ANY suggestions are welcome.

Oy!

yes its very normal.
YOUR still healing tons on the inside
even though from the outside you
think you have healed your not.
I found it took a full three months
to rid that!
hang in there! but
if this tired thing is occuring right after
eating then its a form of dumping
and could be what you eat.....

Yes, it sounds like dumping to me, too.
Check out the article linked in Bariatric Surgery: Postoperative Concerns.

I do remember that feeling. My surgeon said that my energy would kick back in about 6-8 weeks. I would say he was right on the money becasue at about 7 weeks I was finally feeling better. I too would have days that I was soooooo tired. Its hard when you go back to work. But it did come back, the engery. I went back to work at 4 weeks. So yes the first few weeks were tough. Your body is still adjusting.

Your not eating carbs are you? That could be effecting you. some people get very sleepy with carbs.
