i'm having a really (hard!!!!)time with it.i had to miss work friday it was that bad. i thought i was gonna have to visit the er.. ooohh, that would be awful.finally after a few hours and 2 enem...,and the worst pain ever it moved. i drink lots of water .does anyone have advice???? this has never been a problem..it sucks!!!HELP PLEASE!!!!

hugs many experience this post op from this way of eating. UNFORTUNETLY i dont. I know some take milk of magnesia (MOM)... and i know my surgeon first suggests useing a product called SMOOTH MOVE (its a tea) that if you have a cup before bed you wake up in the am nad go naturally with minimal cramping. HUGS hope this resolves! increasing ur water is also great

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have been dealing with this since my surgery also. The pain associated with this is unreal at times. I would be carful with doing 2 enamas though If the first one dose not move it it means there is a blockage and thats why its so painful. If you are taking the Iron a side effect of the iron is stick tar like stools. IN my case it got so bad at one time thank god my sister is a nurse and she took care of it so i did not have to go to the hospital. Had she not been around i would have had to go. Now each day i start my day with 2 stool sofners and i end the day with 2 and this keeps me regular with not much of a problem and i know if i go more then a day with out going that i have to up my dose and everything moves well. take care hope this may help a bit

Ms. Vickie suggested Miralax and I am much better now thanks to her suggestion. It use to be perscriptin but now its over the counter. Its a powder and you dissolve it anything liquid. Hot or cold. No taste and I think it works wodnerfully. I have issues now and then.. I will do really good for a few weeks then get some bad bouts of constipation. Good luck.

i recently tried the miralax too andi have to say by the next morning all was good. you cannot taste it. it doesnt change whatever you put it in, and it works fast.

Im gonna have to say it again. Its a miracle drug with no side effects. Any one that battles with constipation needs to atleast try it. The fact it dont taste like anything is a GOD send.
