Default Depression

I have not been on a lot lately because I have been very depressed. I gained back four pounds at my NUT visit last week. And I know she is right I know what I am so posed to be doing. And I do know that I am sabotaging myself. I want surgery but I don't want the hip replacement that I know I need. I have been feeling sorry for myself and that leads to eating crap.. And I have been not eating one day so I can go out to eat the next.. And that like my brother said is also cheating..I see you girls talk about morning food and the problems you have and I see myself having some of them now already. I have to deal with this I don't want to put this off any longer.. I am trying but it is like there is another person in side with me and I say no and that person says yes, it just sucks.. I guess we all have hard times with this and this surely is a time for me. I have had my family wonder about me baking. And it actually scares me because I don't know how I am going to react. So I am going half way with them. I am using splenda for baking and low fat stuff where I can and egg beaters and they are going to eat it and like it.. and cool whip free.. I have gotten low fat cresants and I am using splenda to sweeten the yams this year.. My NUT said don't fret over that one day. But it is not just that one day. It is every where you go over the holidays too. I guess this isn't going to be a happy holiday like I thought it would be. We are going to Canada for a week over xmas to see my hubbys family. And OMG do they cook.. They are Filipino and always have so much stuff up there to eat, but then again they don't have a weight problem...lol.. I am sorry this is so long I am just really having a bad day today.. I wish I could just cry and get it over with but that wont help me in the long run..gurrrrrrrrrrrr... And I have not told any of my friends so I feel alone (my hubby is ok with my surgery but he expects the always strong lady he married right) So you guys are like family here and well I just need some place to vent today..Thanks for letting me .. I really need it...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hugs you. Bless your heart. This is a tough time of year for sure. Lisa your gonna stumble right now. Your human honey. The only thing I can tell you is to pay attention to what your eating. Its soooooooo hard to do I know. You have already lost 35 lbs yourself. I dont think a day or so of eating what you want will hurt you. In the long run things will be taken care of. Your hitting the depression season also. Perhaps if you have a close friend you can confide in they may suprise you and be on your side especially if you tell them why your doing this. Take care and I hope you start to feel much better. And we are always ALWAYS here for you if you need us.

The holidays are always a challenge! I agree with Lisa about ck'g with your doc about whether you may need to try a Rx. I used to medicate myself with food - for years!!! Once you understand the seratonin connection it really seems to help you deal with things, or at least understand WHY you ate certain things. Of course you can always vent here - it's so nice to get things off your chest. I found it helpful to write down my plan (surgery, etc) to encourage myself pre-op and to help keep my spirits up when it seemed it would never get here! Also, dont beat yourself up - like Vickie said we're all human!

((((((HUGS)))))) It's okay. We all have at one point gone through the same thing you are going through. Even though your hubby knows that you are a strong woman, still go to him and tell him how you are feeling. It really feels good when you have that shoulder to cry on. It's not saying you are not strong, its stating you are human. If you need to call your doctor about the depression then do so. It's no shame in that. You are doing this to help you and who gives a whoot what anyone else says. You come first. Take care

Oh honey -- hang in there -- I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. Forgive me for not remembering but do you have to have the hip replacement before your gastric bypass?

Positive thoughts and prayers going your way. I am a strong believer in therapy and support groups. Meds are good but they only work to full potential along with some type of support. Hang in there.
