So I just can not seem too please any one (at least I am happy with myself)...Today in the line at Walgreens, I am standing there waiting to pay with a lady in front of me and two ladies behind me...ladies behind are talking with each other and I hear " I just can not understand why someone would want to be that skinny" I causally look around at her, then look forward again...she says again "It must be horrible to be that skinny" I had had it at the point and turn to her and say " it must be horrible to be so misarable with yourself you feel the need to be harsh to a stranger, I would take being skinny any day over being such a mean old lady like you" I was pissed to say the least...why oh why do are some people so mean, just down right mean and on purpose I will never get that!!!  i was proud that I did not tell her to go @*@* herself like I wanted. |

I had a couple go at me over my weight one day. It went on for several minutes. I finally turned to them and said........ fat can be lost but ugly IS skin deep. And that dont have to be appearences. It usually will shut em up. Im sorry you had to go though this. Some people in this world are never satisified with anything they have or do. |

I mean, it wasn't like they were really "concerned" about you or "cared." That, while still an imposition, might have been nice, but this was just downright mean. And if it wasn't you, it would be someone else for being to fat, or to short, or too tall, or hair too this or that, or clothes too this or that. I just don't know why some people feel that how other people look is their buisness. I mean, to the point where they feel they have a right to be like that. My second thought is that I would have said "that's the nicest thing you could have said to me" I may feel different when I get there ---- I also tend to 'kill 'em with kindness'. Still, why do people do that? I think you handled it just right - although I doubt they had enough sense to be embarrassed at being called down.
