| Big Loser | You new post-ops will appreciate this. I had some scar revsions just done and doc got into it and also pulled up my implants and reanchored them, a little mons job, too. I had it done local, no general, no problemo. But I refused narcotis (vicodin codeine, percoset) and decided to Tylenol it. MISTAKE! I have never been in so much pain for so long...those chest wall muscles!!!! Lesson learned. There's nothing heroic about refusing the big guns when needed. That was 3 weeks ago and I'm still in pain. The vic would have nixed this in a week. Anyway,, Today, for the first time in weeks, I can stand up straight and take in a full breath. Yippee! Won't be long now. BTW, those showe smoothers are great. They're tabs which slowly dissolve producing a eucalyptus steam. That's when I got my first full breath. Rick's old boss came into town last night. I was dreading going out nauseous and in pain, not feeling like socializing, fearing how I would get through three hours of food and shoptalk when I couldn't stomach a bite (newbies, isn't it hard to learn to linger over a restaurant meal at first? Takes some time to make it about the people, not the food, and realize the party isn't over when the food is finished!). We got to the Japanese steakhouse and everything was clanging so loudly, it was giving me a killer headache. But the it started to quiet down and I could actually talk to the person next to me. I ended up having a good time and, amazingly, mind over body, I feel much better today. I guess dressing up, talking to others in a social situation, getting out of my head really did help my body to an extent. I didn't each much; 4 pieces of sashimi, which others of course noted, but all of us wlsers get used to that after a couple of times around the block. The kids are out from school, and although I'm still not fit for the gym, we'll be out and around. Kinda reminds me of how they tell us we can spend tons of time fretting over some upcoming thing only to have it never come to pass and finding we wasted our time being negative when we could have claimed that life as our own. | Super Moderator | Vicki, welcome back and ((((((HUGS))))))) Gosh, it must have been very hard, trying to ride out the pain. Craig once told me that the bypass surgery was a cinch compared to the TT. I'm very glad to hear you are feeling much better now. I hope you're having good weather that will help you stay in your good spriits. (((((((HUGS))))))))) again.

| WLS Mentor | i'm sorry you had to experience this but thank you for sharing, i will keep this in mind when i go for plastics. it hurts alot but i don't care because the pain won't last forever (even though at the time it may feel that way), and it will be worth it in the end. i started this journey to be healthy and have realized that i actually can't wait to look good again and if that means gut wrenching pain for a month or two , i'lll just have to make sure i have some good pain killers. Drug me up baby! lol

Height: | Vicki it is so great to hear from you again. I hope that the pain is calming down and that you are enjoying the refreshed look of the results... I know that I plan on having plastics to redo my "girls" as soon as I think I can... I am really pretty attached identity wise to them, since they were the one thing besides my hair that I was proud of. I actually took some cleavage pics last week to remember them by...lol. Those pics will not be posted though....don't worry Craig, keeping it clean. Thanks for posting. Janae |
