Default yikers...! protein bullet

well I went to GNC today and found those 'bullets' ya'll keep talking about. took one..the peach..with ice to chill it good..

ug..and omg!! apparently it's got niacin in it or something that reacts like the niacin FLUSH/Itch!!

omg omg omg..I've not had that in years...But man, easy stuff although it tasted rather..well almost like having a shot of some icky alcoholic drink that' supposed to get ya 'high' quick! lol...tingle tingle tingle...

oooohhhhh the tingle! and not a fun tingle!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Was it the NEW WHEY 45's or the PROFECT? I got to where the 45's were making me sick to my stomach...I LOVE THE PROFECTS...they have about 20 flavors and I know I can absorb 25 grams, but was wasting protein with the 45's (as our body is NOT capable of absorbing THAT much protein in one sitting!

I mentioned I had Rum in another thread...and get this...I mixed Pinapple Rum with a PROFECT bullet....TALK ABOUT YUMMMY...good and bad...in just a few sips!

I am having sooo much trouble getting my protein. I tried the Profect Bullets and I couldn't stand them. I tried two of the sample packs, so 8 flavors. They are so sweet and thick. I gag while I try to swallow them. I don't know what to do to get my protein.

CeeCee, I see that your surgery date as only about a week after mine. I just wanted to tell you that my doctor told me not to stress to try to get in a certain amount of protein this early out because our stomachs can't hold enough to get in a large amount of protein every day. Don't let this stress you out. What my surgeon's office told me to do was to be sure that protein is the first thing I eat at every meal instead of feeling up on other things first. That way, whatever you are taking in is protein. I hope this makes sense to you.

Also, keep in touch with me since our surgeries are so close together.

Frei1ndly, Thanks for the heads up about the pudding. I will definitely try it.

Christy, I am glad to hear your Doctor isn't too stressed about the protein yet. I have been worried that my hair is about to fall out on me and all the other things lack of protein will cause. My surgeon doesn't check my blood until 6 months out. That seems like a long time. What does your surgeon recommend?

Sometimes I think my surgeon is way to laid back for a stress-case patient like me!

Thanks again ladies.

CeeCee, my surgeon hasn’t told me when he will check it. I’ve been in for a one week and a one month checkup. I am scheduled to go back six weeks from that appt., which will be Dec. 18th. I am going to ask him about it then, if they don’t do any blood work. But my surgeon’s office was the one that told me to just be sure I take in protein first right now and not to necessarily worry about being able to take in a certain amount right now because of still not being able to eat a whole whole lot.

Kenya,

Protica has a sampler pack of the PROFECT online...with 4 different flavors. I think it's like $12.
