First of all, I know that we aren't suppose to have a lot of carbs each day. I was just wondering if there were a certain number of carbs allowed and it be considered "not too many"?

Actually, as far as the FDA RDA(recommended dietary allowance) goes, the daily carb intake should be at least 130g. This is because our brain cells can use only glucose for energy.

Thanks. I have some low fat wheat thins that I have eaten a few of yesterday. There are 1 carb in each little cracker. I don't eat very many, but probably eat about 20 little crackers over a day's time. Is that too many?

I second what kenya says. I too have some protein with my carbs. I get a wierd feeling if i dont. I do much better if i eat the protein first then have a bit of carbs after if I am still hungry. Like kenya says, everyone is different. |

I too limit my carbs and eat the wheat breads or the carb free wraps...those are wonderful! I usually end up taking the meat out of the wrap after about 2 bites.

I have started eating baked potatoes. mmmmmm. I love them. I put fat free sour cream and salsa on it and it is wonderful. I'm going to add some grilled chix to the next one I make. Of course I can't eat a whole one yet! I do this about once to twice a week. Is this too many carbs? Besides this, I just started eating low fat mini pretzels. Not too many in a days time, but I like to snack on them. I guess the wheat thins might be a better or alternative idea, though. I'm trying to get the protein in too, but I'm really having trouble with it. Is it possible that I'm not getting enough protein and that is why the scale hasn't moved in a couple of weeks?

Angie, you are definately gonna get stuck, no matter what you eat or how active you are. It is something that happens...we all hate it, but its there! LOLOL I am just coming off of a three week stall, but my sizes are still going down down down.
