Default Are you sleeping better and have more energy???

I have not had the surgery yet and lately I am so tired all day. I did the sleep test, but do not have apnea. Was just wondering if you see good improvement on your quality of sleep now and notice you are not as tired during the day. Also, my hubby has a CPAP and wonders if anyone else had one and have you been to able to stop using it?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Yes, I feel much more energy since the surgery AND sleep waaaaay better. I never used the machine, so I'm not sure about any of that. But believe me, you have NO idea how much that "extra weight" tires you out!!!

Ditto - definitely sleep better now and feel more rested. Immediately post-op my sleep cycle was a little out of whack but was better by about 6-8 weeks out. I did a major housecleaning on Sat and that would've killed me pre-op - would've been sore even from being on my feet so much - but 4 mos post op, after doing said house work, I went for a 1 hour walk/jog. Big difference. No CPAP.

Yep, the energy has kicked in and I no longer use my CPAP. (Good thing too, I was really starting to hate that thing!)

Before surgery I my husband said I would quit breathing while sleeping, never went to Dr. about it but I know I did snore terribly and talked in my sleep nightly. Since surgery I do none of these things. I used to be tired all of the time and took a nap every day, sometimes 2 naps, now I rarely nap. As clancy said, right after surgery I was messed up too, healing, not being able to lay on my stomach, and after effects of the anesthesia, made my sleep messed up too, but now I am good!

Thanks for your input. I look forward to having more energy. The hubby is too!

Jeanne, how long did you use the cpap? My husband thinks he may so used to it that he won't be able to sleep without it.

I have so much more energy after surgery. I didnt get it right away. Took me a while to heal from the surgery but man now do I ever have so much more. Its amazing how much better I feel.
Before surgery I would be up till all hours and get up so many times a night. Now I go to bed much earlier and I sleep like a baby. Its amazing to wake up in the morning and have slept thru the night and not have had trouble falling asleep.
And as for the machine, sorry I didnt use one before.
