| Whipper Snapper |  scared crazy
I JUST WANTED TO TALK TO SOMEONE..BECAUSE I FEEL SO DEPRESSED RIGHT NOW AND CRYIN BECAUSE I BECAME UPSET AT THE FACT THE KANYE WEST MOM DIED FROM TUMMY TUCK AND BREAST LIFT..I KNOW THAT IT IS NOT THE SAME TYPE OF SURGERY AND I DON'T HAVE THE SAME RISK FACTOR..IT WAS ON MY MIND THAT THE SAME THING COULD HAPPEN TO ME... THE NIGHT BEFORE I WAS PRAYIN THE LORD WOULD LEAD ME ON THE RIGHT PATH.. THEN WHEN I WOKE UP I HEARD ON THE RADIO THAT HIS MOM PAST FROM COSMETIC SURGERY.. I CALLED MY DOCTOR AN HE TRIED TO ASSURE ME THAT I AM YOUNGER, HEATHLY, NO OTHER HEALTH PROBLEM BESIDES BEING OVER WEIGHT I SHOULD BE FINE.. BUT HE DID WANT ME TO KNOW THAT HE CAN'T PROMISE I WON'T DIE.. BUT HE ITIS A VERY LOW RISK.. ALL OF MY FRIENDS ACCEPT 2 WAS LIKE DON'T DO IT.. THE OTHERS WAS LIKE..I SUPPORT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.. I AM SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW..I AM HURTING INSIDE BECAUSE MY MIND WAS SET ON THIS..I NEED IT.. DOES ANYONE THINK THAT WAS A SIGN FROM GOD FOR ME NOT TO GO THROUGH WITH THIS?  |

No not because i'm planning for the same thing . but if you hear the whole story she had not been cleared medically . But she found a doctor the would do it any way . So like your doctor said your younger and healthier than she was . So don't let this deter you unless you really have a change of heart on you own . Trust me everyone is a little afraid before surgery i know that i am .

I was concerned before my surgery, even had to talk with a therapist I used to go to, just because I was so afraid I would not wake up. It really is up to you to decide wheather or not to do it. I decided to do it myself because I believed my surgeon when he said there were more risks from the comorbidities I had being obese than there were risks of the surgery. Yes, anytime you go under anesthesia there are risks, that is why we have to go through so much to be approved for surgery, and if your surgeon says you are approved then they have weighed the risks for YOU and say you are a good candidate for the surgery. I personally dont believe what happened to Kanye's mother was a sign from God, but my beliefs are quite different from most.

I think everyone is afraid fo surgery to some extent. I sure know I am. Even now I'm practicing seeing myself being taken off to surgery, telling myself everything is fine and envisioning coming out of it just fine (sometimes it really helps me to "practice" things like this when I'm afraid of them), and I'm months away from surgery, if I even get approved. While being scared is normal, being that scared just isn't good for you. When is your surgery scheduled for? If you have a therapist you can talk with, maybe that would be good, or work on relaxation techniques. But don't rush into anything - ever - when you are that scared. Maybe the can re-schedule your surgery so you can have some more time to think, find out the whole story behind this other person, talk to other people who have had it and are fine. As far as a sign from God, I just don't see it as a sign to you. Obviously, it was a sign to her - that it was her time to be with Him. And that time has nothing to do with surgery.  |

I know it is normal to have fear before surgery and I know I had plenty. I had to trust that my surgeon was skilled and that my life from day to day is in the hands of the Higher Power. I woke up and I am so happy I had this surgery. Judy

I Just Want To Thank Everyone For There Imput..i Just Think The Way I Reacted Comes From This Big Fear I Have Of Death.. As I Got Older An People Began To Past.i Knew One Day I Would To..but I Know That It Is Not Good To Live My Life In Fear All The Time..i Will Talk To My Counsler About This..an Like Some Of You Said The Other Person Was Havin Cosmetic Surgery And We Have Totally Different Risk Factors. (i Am 28,5'7,and 265)no Other Health Issues.(thank God) To Answer Your Question I Don't Have A Surgery Date And That Can Give Me Time To Relax My Mind..i Have All My Last Visits Before They Turn My Info. Into The Insurance Comany On The 26th-27th Of Nov.... I Want To Say Thank You Again For All The Support..
