Default Excercise!!

Okay I admit it, I HATE to excercise! I do it most days (but not everyday) and believe me I am trying to find new things to get me interested in excercising. I bought myself an excercise mat, a jump rope and a resistance band. I cut out what look to be easy excercise routines from my Prevention magazine but I just can't seem to find any motivation to do MORE excercise in the evening when I get home from work! I'm lucky if I get one hour at home before I have to go to bed.

Most mornings I'm up at 5:00 and on the treadmill for 25 - 30 minutes. I do get up and move around during the day at the office and have to walk up and down the street for meetings but I still can't seem to find any excitement in excercising. Honest to goodness, I can't wait until I'm close to goal and can feel better about loafing off!

For those of you who never excercised before but have somehow found the excercise "religion" -- what's your secret??? Do share because I need something to help me excercise more!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I have found that I like to put it off...but when I MAKE MYSELF GO...and just do it, I feel better, and I lose more.....no real secret...just forcing myself to do it....the gym we go to makes it easier...they have videos on the cardio stuff...and all the weight machines are hooked to a computer, so it sums up my work after each session...I lift nearly 13,000 pounds each time I go!!! (we joined the YMCA...that's where all this stuff is!!)

Oh, right there with you Jill...I have been so bad with making myself do the exercising. I have a video that I use maybe 3 times a week and the treadmill about 3 times a week. I just can seem to get motivated enough. I have yet to find a gym here that is close enough to the house that is also less than $50.00 a month (for just myself).

For me, I walk/jog and it takes about 45 min - ? This time of year, here, is wonderful and cool and just beautiful. I went this morning about 6 am and watched the sun come up - more of a spiritual experience than a work out. I enjoy the time alone to just think (or not think!) and just be me. No expectations, can't screw anything up -- just aaaahhhhh! Then, when I do have an exercise buddy I just enjoy their company. I feel much stronger than I did pre-op and enjoy attempting to jog. Also, I walk in a nice neighborhood and enjoy their landscaping ideas and such. Cant wait for them to decorate for Christmas!

I Have A Treadmill At Home And Found I Just Couldnt Stick To Using It And Joined A Gym And Boy Did That Make A World Of Difference. Most Days In My Head I Did Not Want To Go But I Would Close My Eyes And Walk Outside To The Car And Once I Was At The Gym Of Course I Worked Out And As Time Went On It Got Easier And Easier To Go To The Gym. Plus They Child Care There And My Daughter Loves Loves Loves To Go So In A Way Somtime I Would Go Just For Her. Lol. Unfortunely Right Now I Have A Knee Injury And Cant Go And Dont Know When I Will Be Able To Return And Now Im Soooooooooooooo Upset Over It And Missing It Sooooooooooooo Much. I Have To Find Water Aerobics Around Here But Not Much Luck So Far God I Dont Know What Im Going To Do Because I Feel Like I Could Of Lose Sooooooo Much More Weight If I Were Working Out These Past 3 Weeks I Have Missed

Im like Kath. Some days I dont want to do it but after I do it I feel so much better. I was walking outside daily 3 or 4 miles but now our weather has changed alot and its pitch dark when I get home from work. So I have moved inside to working out at the YMCA. I have been using the elliptical machine for 30 minutes and then I go on the treadmill to cool down for 10 minutes.
Today being that we are out of town I went for a walk even though it was raining out. But even though it was raining and I got pretty wet I feel so much better that I got something in. I try to do something every day. Before surgery I could have cared less. Its amazing how things change for us all.

Jill the other thing that works for me is music. When I walk outside I listen to my IPOD or now that I am in the gym at the Y I work out watching Ellen or something else on TV that keeps me interested. THe time goes by so fast. OR I really find a music station that I like and crank it up.

I have a hard time getting out to walk, plus we are in the mountains and I hate having to go uphill, I LOVE to turn on the Disco music channel on Satellite TV and just get my boogie on! I just dance until I am tired, usually 25 min.
