Question Calories?

Hey everyone, Happy Thanksgiving! I was wondering about approximately how many calories are we suppose to be able to eat in one day? It seems I can eat a lot now. It has been 5 months and in the beginning I could hardly get anything down. Now, I can eat more than I think I should. Should we be counting calories along with a food diary? How many calories should we stick with to keep losing? I feel I am stuck at this weight and not going anywhere!

They Say We Are Not Suppose To Keep Track Of Calories Etc Because You Might Think You Eat Alot But Its Still Not Enough To Worry About Gaining Wt Or Such.

Personally I Do Keep A Diary Of My Intake Because It Helps Me Be In Control Of My Food Intake And I Know Exactly How Im Eating And It Has Turned Into A Daily Habit Which I Think Is A Good Thing For The Future When The Honeymoon Is Over And We Really Have To Watch And Be In Control. Latley I Tend To Eat Anywhere From 550 - 750 A Day And Im 4 Months Out.

Maybe Once You Do Keep A Diary You Will Realize You Dont Eat As Much As You Are Thinking Hun. Thats Why I Do It Just So I Have Peace Of Mind

I don't keep a diary, but there are mental notes going all the time in my head!!! After surgery (when I could eat again) we stuck to around 500 calories....I'm probably at about 750 now! I don't spend a lot of time counting....I'm watching more of the carbs/fat/sugars in what I eat!

I use sparkpeople.com and usually will hop on there and do a diary 2-3 times a week, it keeps me aware of what Im actually putting in my mouth and lets me keep track of my actual protein intake -- I usually fall between 700-900 calories a day intake then the fitness tracker shows about 300 calories a day burned when I exercise.

My suregeons office doesnt reccommend counting calories. They tell me to stick to high protein mainly. They recommend low fat, low cal, and etc...But they tell me to push the protein things first and then if I have room to try the veggies or fruit if I have room. So far for me its working. Hope this helps.

I don't do the count the calorie thing..did that for years starving myself up to hugeness.

I do ratios of protein/carb/fat

I find fit.day, even now at 5.5 yrs out a great help.
