Default Emotions

What's the deal with all these emotions? Where are they coming from? I feel like I'm 1/2 way looney. I am so frustrated today. First I had the squirts, then some kind of bed-sore stuff going on, my cpap machine isn't working out, my brother tells me I should walk more. I weigh 360 and am 16 days out. I'm walking at least 30 minutes a day and some days 45. It's really all that I feel I can handle right now. More exercise then before surgery. I cried at my bros. I cried on the phone with the cpap tech. I cried when talking to my doc. & I could cry right now just thinking about crying.
Someone make me get a grip!!! I don't like being like this. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

AWWWWWW, ((((((((HUGS))))))))
You are perfectly normal. Just about everyone goes through the roller coaster emotions, and I'm sure at least your surgeon is not at all surprised, as a matter of fact, quite expects this. Of course your emotions are in a turmoil, you just went through a major surgery, you have a very big change in life style ahead of you, and you're having some events you didn't expect to happen going on.

Part of it is due to the hormones being released from your melting fat cells, part of it from the stress of the changes you are going through.
I'm sure you know through your pre op research that this is no easy sailing, and you are going through it first hand now.

You may not like it, but the fact is, you haven't gone batty, you are going through the normal stages of adjustment post op. You need to go through these emotions to get to the next level actually, Not a good analogy, but having to clear this stage to get on to the next, and finally win the game in a 'puter game. It's a known fact that unless you go through certain emotions in certain orders, you'll have a harder time later, so it's best that you don't dam up your tears, just let them flow whenever, and they'll go away when the time comes.
Of course, if the depressive feeling gets too bad, then you may need professional help and medications, some people do, but that's within the normal range, too, so don't feel bad about that either, if you need it. It's just part of your journey, and nothing out of order.
((((((HUGS))))))) again.

Kat- I know how you feel as I went through the same thing. I am on antidepressants for clinical depression and my daughter kept calling my brother to say that I must not be taking my meds cause I was losing it. I had even gone to my Doc because I thought maybe the meds quit working. I wish the surgeon and the people there would have let me know a little about the mood swings and how bad they can be. I am now 10 months out and still have a few bad days but I am dealing with them better now and my family and friends are now all aware of what is going on so it gets easier now. I will pray for you to get through this and just know it does get easier. Good luck and feel free to contact me at tweetybyrd2009@yahoo.com if you need someone to talk to.

YES kAT! this is another side effect of the surgery!
ALOT to do with our hormones going wacky with the
rapid weight loss. OUR girlie cycles can get off to
my early months i was on a 21 day cycle so i felt
i was constantly on PMS ugly mode.
IT gets better just put up with it. I also
battled months and months of depression
and lots of weepy moments.

I thought I was a little looney my self. Some days I cry and am so very sad that you would think my whole life was ending!!!! (hehehe) Then an hour later I would be fine.
I am glad to know that this is a normal thing for now to be going through. I have cried to for the foods that I am missing. Is that a little weird????
I am sure kat that once your body gets to healing a little more you will notice a little bit less weepy. I have.
Take care, it changes as everyone has said, each day a little more.

Of course it's not weird to cry over the foods you are missing. As a matter of fact, many go through that stage, too. At this point, I think you will cry over just about anything, however silly it may seem. It's just part of the roller coaster ride you're on, nothing out of the ordinary.

Default Thanks

Thanks for all the support. Usually I drive people a little nuts because I'm pretty cheerful. I haven't even began to miss the food yet. I Know that will be a process. One step at a time right now.

Doc
i know you said that the emotional thing is do to hormones being released through melting fat cells, and the stress and changes or of changes that one goes through, and missing the food also counts in there. I have thought about it for a while now because i have heard of others talking about the ups and downs and always attributed it to part of a grieving process. I see the food as once being my best friend and after the surgery you lose that friend, so it's kind of like a friend dying, is this right? close?

Kat honey, as you can see others say this is normal, hang in there, i will be praying that you and all of the new post-ops go through this stage as quickly as possible and are able to handle this on a day to day basis.
