I am 6 days post surgery, im hungry, counting down the days I can crunch on something. day 9 im on clear liquids. My shorts are still tight, when does the gas stop and I start feeling better? Im not taking pain pills much, a few times yesterday, none today. more for stomach spasms.

For gas I was told to walk, even small walks can help with it. As for weight loss I would have to say we are all different and even though the shorts are still snug you may have lost somewhere else besides your waist. I was constantly checking how my waistbands fit at first, not realizing my tops were fitting looser. Hang in there it does get easier!

HUGS were all different.
SOME people retain from all the IV's at the hospitol
and have to reloose that bloot...
others loose right away.

BUT like preivously said i actually lost
my waist last and lost in the face and upper chest
areas first.

For me it took about 2 weeks to sart seeig a difference and to stop having gas. I gained almost 15 pounds in the hospital from the IV's HaNg in there it gets better

I don't think you get to crunch on nothing for awhile.hang in there!!this is the place for info and encouragement.I am so grateful to everyone here for helping me get thru some pretty rough days.Igained 10lbs in the hospital also.

i didnt really have gas by the time i got home. i had no idea how much i was losing until i went back to the dr to have the drain pulled. it's best you stay away from the scale because you may have gained from the iv's so the inital loss might not seem like a lot and may bum you out. everyone loses differently though.

The fun part is when you go thru spells where it falls off you. Hold on, your turns coming.......
