Well, almost four on December 14th (this Friday). I went to see my surgeon on Monday. At that visit I had officially lost 70 pounds, which according to "his" numbers put me at 49% of total weight loss (he has me losing 142 pounds -- I'm going with the 133) According to my numbers I'm more like 53% weight lost. But then he says realistically most people lose somewhere between 60 - 80% of the goal weight, so he's figuring I may only lose 100 pounds total. Well, I intend to go for the whole 133, but it may take awhile. He says things will slow down dramatically by month 5 or 6 -- what about that? Those of you who are at month 5 or 6 (or those beyond) did you experience a dramatic slow down in weight loss?
Even if so, I'm okay with that. As of today, I am only 11 pounds from Onederland! I'm officiallly in a size 16. When I look at myself from the side, I no longer see these big bulges (except for my boobs) its pretty trim going down! So no matter what I ultimately end up losing -- as of now I am HAPPY and this has been the best thing I have ever done.

| Hey Jill, I do notice the scale being more sluggish than it used to be but still feel the loss is fine. My pcp wants 1-2 # per week and I usually hit that + so I'm fine with it. Early on I would drop 5-8 # a week and I dont see that anymore. I'm working on toning and strength training so it's almost better if its not too fast, hoping not to need any plastics. Congrats by the way - you look great! 16 is nice, huh - you get to shop all over the place

Clancy, now I'm disappointed. I have lost an average of 3-4 pounds a week and I thought I was doing great. How in the world did you lose 8 pounds a week?

| Christy - I hit in spurts and the high week was probably when I had that stomach virus - LOL! The thing is mine isnt consistent and I've had a couple of lllooooonnnnnnggg stalls. I def noticed it came off much easier immed post op than now, but, again, if I average it out, it's fine at an average of 3.6 per week.

What you PCP told you is what my surgeon told me to. It would slow down to a pound or two a week max after a while. Then there might be stalls. I know your happy with everything and that is what we wanted. Congrats on your good check up and keep losing!
