 |  Having a hard day
Hi yall, this is pretty much just a vent post to get my feelings off my chest. I am so sad today. I miss Will like crazy, he has only been gone for 8 days but man it feels like a lot longer. He called lastnight for the 1st tme since last sunday. We only get 10 minutes on the phone and after letting the kids talk I only get maybe 3 minutes, its hard to say much in those 3 minutes. I think with the holidays right around the corner it makes it harder to deal with. Luckily my mom, siter and sisters partner are all coming March 1st. My mom is gonna stay as long as the airlines will let her. I need that I think. I am doing great weightloss wise but really the joy of losing isnt as good as when Will is home. Oh well such i life right? Thanks for listening I just needed to get that off my chest

Becka, I know exactly what you mean. It is almost like you have a hole inside you when he is gone. What helped me when DH was in Iraq was to put together a package to send him with pictures and other goodies. Also, I wrote him a regular letter whenever I was missing him badly. I am glad that you are going to have company for a while that will help too. Stay busy while he is gone. Discover a new hobby or find an old one. You will be in my prayers.

Becka, I know that this is a tough time for you. It is so difficult when you have to go through the holidays without your spouse. I am sure the kiddos miss their daddy too. There is no way I could say I know how you feel because I dont. I do know we all love you here and will support you in anyway we can. Before me and the hubby were married we kept a long distance relationship for 3 years. From Texas to Virginia. It was tough. Compared to you its a scratch. I hope the base you live on has programs for the wives and kids to attend and help deal a bit better. I pray for his safe return and your familes waiting.

Thank you all for your kind words. For me this is the most challenging deployment out of the 7 we have dealt with because of the timing of his leaving and the fact that I know its such a LONG deployment, but with y'alls support I will survive it.
