Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

oh yeah so you're even closer. and i have a fresh roll of duct tape
you'll be fine. i am sure. if you eat alot one week out of the month you balance it out with the other three if you are anything like me. the week of tom you will be lucky if you get in 500 calories. the week after you are "normal" and then it starts all over again. you'll be fine edie. if you are hungry eat, but make sure its hunger and not just munchies. and if you have to eat, eat raw veggies, cheese; i know you know what to eat. 1200 of protein rich stuff will hold you longer than 1200 cals of crap lol. you're doing good and we're here for ya!

One of the reasons surgery has better results is because it seems to change the hormonal regulation related to hunger.
Now, I am not talking about the female hormones which is what controls TOM.
There are a lot of new or relatively new found hormones that combine in regulating the hunger/satiation cycle.
With an intact stomach and the normal digestive tract, these hormones click in when you change your eating pattern and make you feel ravenous at times.
Once parts of the digestive tract are removed from the regular course that food passes through, some of these hormones are not produced as much, so, when you do start feeling hungry, it isn't the ravenous raging hunger that you've known, so you can stay your course in healthy eating.
Of course, this isn't the only reason, but this goes a long way in helping you keep your weight at a good level.

Now, with those who gain back a whole lot, it's due for the most part in deviateing from the pouch rules, plus getting in a lot of high in calorie but small in volume stuff, unless the stoma becomes enlarged so you pass food easily, though in this case, there are alternate techniques to make the food pass through slowly.

I think also at SOME point there has to come a time where "I" am just DONE with being FAT! A person COULD be very well-educated & have an intact pouch, and STILL force themself to gain weight. Sometimes people have a terrible fear of change, or of doing things that are good for them. However, if you stay active on the site, keep eating the way you should MOST of the time--keep your determination and promise to yourself alive--and you will be okay. Me too.

XOXO
Mya
