Hello everyone -- sorry I haven't been around a lot lately -- life has been hectic leading up to and during this holiday season. There is so much to celebrate! And so much to do!
First, we had a great holiday, but lots of traveling. We drove down to my son's house for Christmas for four days. Had such a great time with them and my grandson (here's a picture). I also went to Wal Mart while I was down there to pick up a pair of jeans because mine (my 16W) were sagging a bit too much! Guess what, not only did I get into a 16 Juniors comfortably, but I was also able to get on a pair of 14's! Although I have a few more pounds to go until they are "comfortable". I was so excited I bought three pairs!
Then we drove back home, stayed for two days and then we went up to visit our daughter and her fiance (he bought her a ring for Christmas). They are both in the Army and leaving for Afghanistan for 15 months this Saturday. Please keep them (and all serving away from family) in your prayers. Then we had to drive back seperately, because we brought her car and some of her things home with us.
Second, as crazy as it may sound, my husband and I have decided to buy this huge new home. We currently live in our home on the lake and this new subdivision had lakefront but it was SO expensive that we just couldn't swing it. But the floor plan we fell in love with was just so great, that we couldn't say no -- so we are going ahead with a different lot. I'll still be close to the lake, but the house will make up for that loss! I'm really excited. We have to sell our house now, so we've been busy cleaning, sprucing and de-cluttering our home. It goes on the market Jan 4th -- we're hoping for a quick sale.
I've missed you all -- just trying to catch up. While my weight loss has slowed down, I have found myself so happy with where I am at that it no longer concerns me. I want to reach my goal weight, but I'm also not going to fret over it in 2008. When I get there, I'll get there. My doc says most folks only reach about 80% of their goal weight. Whatever it is that I eventually lose will be okay. I am looking forward to dropping under 200 and reach Onederland! That should be sometime this month -- I'll keep you all posted.
I hope you all have a healthy and happy New Year!
