Went back to work this week from having 2 weeks off,everyone was freaking out on me. It gets a little overwhelming sometimes.I dontlike that kind of attention.Anyways one girl didn't come back till yesterday. I just got my hair done plus I'm in a size smaller pants. she sits beside me daily. she looked at me and said sarcasticaly (great you did your hair just like mine)then looked away. A little later she told another girl (did you see someone had to do her hair just like mine?)loud enough for me to hear.I was shaking and a few words got said . I only said twice she was ***** rude.I don't stick up for myself so I was actually proud. Every one said she's jealous because I'm smaller now. I understand shes a bully but it's still hard to know some people are going to be so mean just because I'm losing weight.I think in my work place I'm in for a lot more of this .. Any advice on how to handle these situations???? By the way our hair doesn't look anything alike...

yes women are catty. especially in the workplace. i have had my share of confrontations over nonsense all because of other peoples in securities where MY weight loss is concerned and its not fun. i have no advice. im actually going to start looking for another job because i want a fresh start where no one knows me kinda deal. i wish you the best resolution possible.

hehehehe Lazell wow this really cracked me up!! you know girl I know maybe that was really mean and rude but she can't swallow her jealousy! she's an idiot that cannot handle that people are paying you more attention and keep wondering what is the magical pill you're using for weight reduction!! let her choke up with her silly hair cut hehehehe

My advice is just to plant an ear plug and ignore all the noise that comes from your work or any where else and carry on your mission!

There are always going to be stupid ignorant people who hate to see others achieve. Its life and unfortunatly a big part of our lives as we get healthier happier and skinnier. Try your best to smile and just take every bit of jealousy as a compliment....ITs their insecurities comming out as your confidence builds....

Yeeeaaahhhh... I had the painful and unfortunate experience of being a SUPERVISOR for other women. BLEH!!!

What I would emphasize is for you to have a way NOT to hang onto angry/resentful feelings. For instance, everytime someone says something catty and rude, just smile, and inside your head think REAL LOUD 'I win'! Because you do! You're being healthy, wise and positive. If other people are drowning in their negativity--oh well. Also, you're driving your new Ferarri (body) and they have the same old things. I bet if another woman got on a successful weight loss plan, she'd be happy and pleasant!

I have a friend who also struggles with weight and we're both happy b/c we've maintained being down nearly 100 lbs for a LONG time (though we'd like to lose more). She is the only one whose attitude I can "get with" on most subjects in general! The "normals" just don't have something to be so happy about!!! Keep up your chin and stay with the winners!

I think you alredy said it........she is jealous. Its not the hair at all its the jealousy speking. People like that just try to hurt others. I know its easier said than done but try to ignore her and be the better person, even though you want to bop her in the face~!!!

Sorry you are having this experience. My advice is to breathe and bless her where she is jealousy and all. You know the truth of who you are and she is caught up in her own anger or discomfort. Don't buy into it. Course in Miracles has a saying "I am not upset for the reasons I think" It comes to me anytime I feel attacked.

Yep shes jealous. She must like your hair if she thought you did yours like hers LOL. I know it can be so mean of people to say stuff like they do. The only advice I can give you is either stand up to the old witch or...... ignore it. I have found you see the real people after you have surgery. Before you was just the big girl who didnt matter much and now your emerging and they find it as a threat? I dont understand it. Good luck with this lady honey.
