| Stand Still
I am very upset today I have been at a stand still on my weight for three weeks now and need some support to get back started on this journey. I also need to know what exercises will help with my arms, legs and stomach, I need to firm them up badly.

Hang in there hon! I was stalled for 4 months and then started losing again. I'm sure your body will adjust soon and you will start losing again. It shouldn't be as long a stall as I have had. Just remember....YOUR NOT GAINING WEIGHT EITHER

stalls really do stink! but they happen, the scale will be moving again soon and it will be all woth it. at the gym i use the exercize ball and do crunches for the tummy and i sit on the ball and use weights for my arms..its kinda hard to explain but you hold the weights straight up and go back, like behind your shoulder, for legs i use the elliptical or treadmill and resistance machines, hope that helps

| Hang in there! I have stalled for up to 4 weeks - so it should be over soon -- at least in theory. just stay on program and exercise and the scale will get back on board soon. You've done really well and your body is just adjusting. Have you done measurements? if so, ck your measurements- you'll likely find they're coming down. I'm still looking for a good exercise plan myself - sort of just flying by the seat of my pants.

Its Normal To Stall Hun. But You Are Losing Inches While You Are Stalled It Might Now Show On The Scale But Try On Some Clothes And You Will See What I Mean!!! Also What I Do To Get Rid Of The Stalls Are I Try To Shock My Body Into Eating Different Foods Or Maybe You Are Not Eating Enough. I Know When I Increased My Foods A Little Bit I Started Losing Again Like Crazy!!!!

First off, congratulations on your weight loss!!
60lbs in less than 4 months, that's fabulous!!! That's over 15lbs per month on the average, great job!!!
So, your body is adjusting to the rapid loss, you should be losing inches at this moment, aren's your clothes getting looser even if the numbers on the scale doesn't move?
Just stick to the protein first, water, water, water, keep your liquids and food apart, keep to your surgeon's progam, and you'll do fine.
(((((HUGS)))) May your journey go well.

Hi Billie:
I am right there with you. Actually, it appears as if we have walked this road together. I had my surgery only two days prior to yours and we seem to be following the same progression.
I can relate to how you are feeling because I have been stalled for a while. And I actually do not see a major difference in my clothing right now. However, I have stuck with the surgeons directions. I can't stop thinking that maybe I am doing something wrong. But then I remember 1) I do not ever remember loosing 60 lbs, let alone in less than 4 months, and 2) I can't remember "feeling" so good physically and that is why we chose the WLS right.
We will get there...just hang tight and stay focused on all the health benefits. Maybe find something to relish in that you were unable to do before but can do now. For me it is as simple as sitting with one leg rested on the other. This was a major feet for me before WLS.
