Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My uncle just brought 2 doz. Krispy Kreme hot donuts into our lodge...and coffee is brewing.... Oh, I'm trying to convince my hubby to go get one...and let me have the smallest bite. OH....have I told you I've been dreaming of Krispy Kremes?? Oh my they smell sooo good!! OKAY...he finally did.....and I took a tiny bite.....WOW! Soooooo amazing for the bite...and as I was chewing and it got mushy - not so great. This makes me wonder....hmmmmm? Have I really ever ate a Krispy Kreme donut....I think I've always inhaled them.....wow. It tasted greasy...not so good...and the sugary tast went away...I really hope that it was not a lot of sugar.... that bite was not worth it AT ALL!!!!

| Deborah, You are so funny, krispy kremes sounded so good but now....maybe not!!!!! I have noticed now that we have to chew so well, that I really wasn't aware of what things tasted like in the past. Now we do!!!! (hehehe) I had to bake a cake over this past weekend and it took so much for me not to lick the beater....I did well till the very last was in the pan and I licked the spatula without even thinking about it. Yummmmm. THEN I panicked...oh noooo. Nothing happened, I don't think I had enough on there to do any damage. Just a habit from the past..... I hope you didn't get sick from your bite of doughnut.... ROBBIN

| Super Moderator | Good to hear your experience, Femme!! And your afterthoughts, too. Eat to live, not live to eat. Here, people are probably much more sensitive to taste than in the US, Japanese gourmet food being all about bringing out the best of the natural taste of food stuff, and enhancing it, instead of drowning the original taste in rich sauce, cream and gravy. However, a lot is changing these days, and the amount of fat in proccessed stuff is scary.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Yes Deb I have to say, this past weekend the kids got Wes a father day triple chocolate pie, and I had just a small taste on my finger, and I looked at Wes and I said hun I think, the pie might be bad, he goes why, I said it taste like S*&T I was so serious, it was nasty to me, But that does make you think huh? Did we really like it or was in all in our heads. This crystal light flavored water all ready mixed in the bottles, I’m trying to drink, is sooooo sweet I have to mix it in water so its not so sweet, so with 1, 16oz bottle of crystal light I get 3, 20oz bottles. |

Height: | I made my sugar cookies for the first time post op yesterday and it was really hard....so I finally took a lick of the frosting and was absolutely convinced that I had screwed it up, but hubby seemed to think it was great so I will trust him. Lately my cooking has been pretty bad since I can't taste what I make to see if it is right....does anyone else have that problem with cooking? Janae |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Another disappointment. It did satisfy the sweet tooth...but in NO WAY was I desiring to eat the entire bag like I've done in my past..... They were just, "OK"....and I am not tempted.... it's really weird how my tastes are changing....I know all of you warned me this would happen...but, it's a bit freaky!! I did "creatively" eat SUSHI finally while in NYC this week......I've been wanting it sooooooo much, and if you've ever been in NY, you'll know that there is a place to eat SUSHI everywhere!!!! Finally I decided that I'd get the sushi plate....and cut open the rice/seaweed paper part....and eat the insides....just eating a little portion of the rice. OH!!! LOVED IT!!! And didn't get sick - this was soooooo exciting!AND I DID NOT OVEREAT!!! ![]()
