You are SO early out and you will have many more moments of being frustrated with the weight loss....I'm still frustrated and I'm 90 pounds down!!!! (but hey...I've lost it in 23 weeks...whoulda thunk it? LOL)

You are doing great and it's wonderful you are exploring other avenues to take care of you!! People comment me all the time now....and ask how I feel? My pat response is...I FEEL FANTASTIC...and I do (but in my mind, I still want to be at goal YESTERDAY!!!)

Keep up the great work...your mindset is refreshing and you don't realize how inspirational it will be to others who come here and read your post!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I think Kenya is about 3-4 mos ahead of me and I remember reading her posts and concerns about weight loss and wondering if it was really gonna happen and how long was it going to take (seems like yesterday now) and look at her now!!!!! Wow! Every time I stall I have this sinking feeling ~ which is why I'm so thankful for you guys!!!! ~ but it usually does kick back in within a few weeks. I also keep reminding myself that it's healthier to lose a bit slower sometimes and that my body has lots of adjusting to do.

You are doing a fabulous job with the exercise and with looking for what makes you feel good. I use lots of moisturizers post op and it really does feel good (and smells nice too).

Kitty - I remember when I decided (it was an actual thought whether or not to do something) it just wasnt worth moving to do something - whether it was a shower, or exercising, walking, whatever. I think that was a catalyst to have WLS for me because it scared me. When we watch tv shows and see folks who have massive amounts of weight (esp 800 or 1000 pounds) I used to wonder how does that happen? How do you not know or do anything about your weight that it gets that high? And, then one day I just got it. I understood. That got my attention. I am so thankful for this surgery ~ I really believe it not only saved me from the medical aspects of obesity, but really has given me a different life - a much more comfortable and fulfilling existence.

Sorry for the therapy session - thanks for listening.

clansythe camper-- I agree with you, becasue when I would watch those shows of people who are 800 to 100 pounds and I would think why would they let themselves go that far that they are bed ridden for years. I could not imagine laying in bed the rest of my life. Then one day I woke up and thought what am I doing to myself and how did I let myself get this big. I admit, that I was lazy and did not care about a lot of things becasue I was just so heavy and it took so much energy to get things done. When a person is so heavy it is very hard to get things done.Hard to bend over and then the rush of blood to my head I could not handle so I did not do hardly any bending over. I just noticed when i feed the cats the other day I was bending over for the longest time and playing with my cats in the barn. I did not even realize it till I came to the house and thought about my cats in the barn and that I was bending over and patting them for the longest time, becasue there are alot of cats in the barn so it takes time to play with the ones that are tame and the little ones are a little dumb to be scared and while they were drinking water I would play with them and trying to get some more of the cats tame. I take a pail of nice warm water to them every day.

TGG (((((((HUGS)))))))
This is truly a mind game more than anything else.
Your focus on feeling good is wonderful.
You'll need a lot of patience, but, 6 month later, one year later, you'll be amazed at where you are, I'm sure.
You're being mighty patient with sticking to your program right now. It will pay off for sure.
Hang in there, keep up the good work.

P.S. I have copied in Some Beauty Tips for y'all.

Thank to you all for your kind words. Just reading everyone's responses has given me the urge to get in an additional weight workout session today. I can not believe how well my body is responding to exercise. I am 100% stronger in only 4 weeks. It is amazing
