Default Update on me.

Ok I had to go back to the PCP today. I had went to get my B-12 checked last week on my own insistance because they kept forgettiing to draw that tube.

Anyways my Folic Acid is really low. They have now placed me on a RX for this. When talking to the Dr she said this would explain my itching and some of the Palsy/aka shaking im doing. I had stopped the beta blocker they give me for the shakes back when I was throwing up all the time because i wasnt sure if that wasnt the culpret.

She said in the 10 years she has treated me she has never seen me look so good or have my lab work look like it was text book except for the Folic Acid. She said you know we look at your skin, your eyes, your hair when we look at yall and you look so good. Needless to say I felt great hearing that part.

I did complain about my Arthritis. Boy its been giving me a fit. I cant take the Celebrex no more because of the surgery and possible GI bleed. My surgeon has given me liquid Loratab to take as i need it for pain. This has almost become intolerable. Even my toe joints hurt now. This is new. Each year in the winter somthing else new has the arthritis it seems. She said a pain management specialist is what I needed to see since the anti-inflamaltorys are now out of the question. They could use a patch instead of injesting it. It would give me a even relief without the doped up feeling. For anyone who dont suffer with Arthritis consider your self so very lucky. Its horrible.

When looking at my weight loss she was amazed. She couldnt belive it. She hugged me! LOL. She said Vickie I never looked at you different than I do now and I have to look at the numbers to really show me what you have lost.

Anyways this is my update. Im doing ok now. You know when you have this surgery half is physical and the other part is mental. They work on the physical part really well but they really need to work on the mental parts. That would be my suggestion.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

That is sooo great!!! It's wonderful to hear all that excitement coming from your health care provider. If feeling and looking better wasn't enough, it's great to see someone like that so happy because now you are so much healthier too!!! I'm glad you have some options as far as pain relief, that's very important. But keep up the great work!!!!!

Good for you for insisting on the labs! I'm glad you're doing well in most areas, hopefully pain mgmt will take care of your arthritis pain. Does warmer weather bring you any relief?

That's great news Ms Vickie and your arthritis should give you less problems as you get thinner, but I'm sure its hard to deal with. Have you tried some of the topical pain relief that's out there like Aspercreme and that roll on stick with the weird commercials?
