Well, I guess I seem like the odd man out is saying I'd tell, but even my telling soon would only be out of necessity. I wouldn't just blurt it out or bring it up as a ligitimate topic of conversation early out for no reason. If I needed to tell to explain something, I wouldn't rule it out, but if this starts to go somewhere, then you gotta tell eventually. I'm still thinking he may make this easy on you by knowing already! But if he knows, then he may not bring it up either. Maybe today at work ask some people who know about your surgery if they think that he might know. Don't make it a big deal, but if your talking about him already, casually ask. Good luck and HAVE FUN!!! You'll know when the right time is!

Been there...don't tell out of the box unless it becomes a longer relationship. Most guys are used to women who don't eat much and my standard is this: if they make a comment about how little I ate or ordered.. "I don't hold much but I have to eat often..*laugh*" The WLS really is a pretty personal thing and it's really nice to have someone NOT know about it upfront. Plus I've found that I often get the disbelief remarks or worse they share about a truly negative story about a family member who 'died from WLS' or some such thing. But I will say this.. I am ALWAYS very observant about how they talk about other obese people..if they are negative and expect me to make fun of that person with them..."good bye hon!" something to think about there.
