Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass   |  Weightloss and the effects of drugs on us Ok so friday when I wrecked my jeep I hurt my back then Sunday my dog drug me and hurt it worse, so I went yesterday to the doc, she gave me tylenol 3 and Flexeril. I use to take these pre-op and didnt really get effected too bad, well I took 1 tylenol 3 and it kicked my butt, then lastnight I took a flexeril and today am still out of it. I guess losing so much weight and being rerouted this stuff hits me way harder then before. I am not sure I like this feeling |

Once I Took Nyquil And In 6 Minutes I Was Knocked Out. Also I Had Just Did A Post On This Because I Was Prescribed Some Meds Because I Was Sick During The Holidays And The Drugs Hit Me Like A Ton Of Bricks!!!!!!!!!

The nutritionist told us the malasorbtion creates the quick drunk affect and also shortens the effectivness of the medication. Judy

| Super Moderator  | Yes, post op all of the meds will hit you differently. Ask your dr if you can temper your dose the first time--take only half of the prescribed dose at first to see how you do. Drink lots of water for now, and wash it out of your system. (((((HUGS)))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Becka I have had that issue with Alcohol. For the first time in ages I decided to have a drink. What did I do that for. After the first two sips you would have thought I had drunk the whole darn bottle. My husband found this to be very funny. It went straight to my head. I had heard that this could happen but I never thought it could happen to me due to I have never really been drunk before and never suffered with a hang over, no matter how much I drank the night before. The next time I sip on anything I will make sure I am at home and near my bed.
