 New Year
Well I really had planned on starting the New Year with a new job, and the day I had an interview I was having some belly pain again, just like in August. I was so scared and kinda blew it off for a couple hours. I could not take it anymore so I called my surgeon and he wanted to see me right away. So I go pick up dh and head to the office. He comes in taps on my belly and sends me through the roof again, he sends me to CT stat. CT results, bring bad news off to emergency surgery again. Basically the same thing bowel telescoping again, so after another 8 days in the hospital and less another 10 lbs or so I am home and recovering. Doctor says this is happening because I had the WLS, I guess my body is different then most in that my scaring does not schrink or get tighter it gets bigger. Instead of strictures my parts expand. He says I am the first person in all his pt that this had happen too, he says he thinks he has it fixed as he put two connections instead of just the one. This time the recovery was a lot harder, I guess I coded in the recovery room I stopped breathing, then I lost blood and had to have a blood transfusion with 4 pints of blood. This time I spent 3 days in CCU. I am home though and alive. He removed about 12 inches of bowel this time. I was pretty upset and starting to regret my decision to have WLS, but I am still happy I had the surgery. I am now at 129lbs, I was starting to looking into plastic surgery for my tummy and boobs, and I am now NEVER going to have surgery on purpose I asked when I was going into surgery if he could just remove the little extra tummy skin I had, and the room laughed. Well that is my update I need to go lay down again....
