Default What to eat when you have no cals left

What to do when you have a big hole in your stomach or need to eat, but don't want calories? I just made and ate this and thought I'd pass it along. It's a Chinese carrot soup, but not how we think of it. VERY simple

2 parts cubed daikon
1 part cubed carrot
pork bones (ribs if you want meat, but that adds cals) or chicken broth
Lots of water
Sprinkle cilantro or green onion on top if desired.

The Chinese call daikon, white carrot. When it's cooked, it absolutely loses all of its' radish flavor and tastes just like that: carrot, but not quite as flavor intense. The broth is sweet (not candy sweet). The Chinese also believe this soup can be a diuretic.

You can eat this 'til the cows come home and not reach 100 cal. The only thing with any negligible calories is the orange carrot and, really, how many cals is 1 carrot?

It's warm, satisfying, tastes good. One of the few truly few and far between freebies.

PLUS, research has shown people who consume clear soups drop an average of 10% more per year than their counterparts.

Once you try it, chances it will become a staple in your diet.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I love daikon,

Especially the yellow pickled ones.
